In the year 40,000, our universe is ravaged by war. Bloody battles between humans and xenos rage on endlessly, entire planets are annihilated regularly, and Space Marines, more machine than human, know only death and war. Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000 has just about the most epic, metal-album-cover fiction that ever existed, and it’s a great source material for video games.
British developer Eutechnyx today announced that it’s currently working on Storm of Vengeance, a MOBA set in Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000 universe. Slated for a 2014 release on PC and mobile devices, Eutechnyx describes Storm of Vengeance as a “lane strategy game” set in the dark, gothic, but not-at-all emo universe of Warhammer 40,000.
Auto Club Revolution developers (and possessors of the world's most unspellable name) Eutechnyx have announced a new NASCAR title for PC. It's literally called NASCAR The Game 2013, and it looks a lot like a NASCAR game created in the year 2013. Stick around for some moderately shiny screenshots.
Veteran racing game developer Eutechnyx has kept their online free-to-play game Auto Club Revolution in various stages of testing for two years, with the open beta having begun over a year ago. Executive Producer Christoph Vietzke cited "strict criteria" for the wait—and apparently, that criteria has now been met, as ACR has officially launched today. Oh, and if you were a beta tester, you get a bonus gift as a thank-you for helping to improve and shape the game.
Auto Club Revolution is a new free to play racing sim aimed at car lovers interested in "owning, customising, driving, racing, and most importantly, enjoying cars online." It's being handled by verteran dev Eutechnyx, who have been making racing games for the past 14 years. They say that the game will include "single player and multiplayer modes, drafting (slipstreaming), drifting, a fully-featured HUD, a suite of assists and much more."
The closed beta will kick off later this month. You can sign up here. More details and screenshots follow.
