GameStop has confirmed that the Red Hood will be offered as exclusive pre-order DLC for the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight. This in itself is not surprising—GameStop teased the announcement yesterday with a pixelated but clearly red-capped image on Twitter—but it might just offer a hint about the true identity of the mysterious Arkham Knight.
The biggest criticism leveled at Dark Souls 2 was that it was too easy. Players who had spent hundreds of hours in the first game found that many of the same tactics worked in the sequel. Maybe you had to dodge left instead of right to get past the Pursuer’s sweeping arc, but generally speaking, the old tricks still worked.

My old tricks failed time and time again, forcing me to relearn enemy patterns and try new tactics. For Dark Souls diehards, that’s a good thing, though you’ll have to slog through some drab environments.
A massive Dark Souls 2 patch has just gone live, and along with a long list of changes and refinements comes the news that “Health Recovery Items can no longer be used during any PvP”. What this basically means is that you can’t chug Estus mid duel, which is a change the Dark Souls 2 community has been requesting for a long time. After all, a duel should be an honorable fight to the death, right? Right.

In much the same way they did with the Expedition DLC pack, Respawn is drip feeding details on the second Titanfall map add-on. Entitled Frontier's Edge, the three maps will feature 'Dig Site' among them, which Respawn has detailed in a new blogpost.
This trailer for Battlefield 4's forthcoming Dragon's Teeth DLC might only be 30 seconds long, but only around 10 of those seconds have been wasted showing logos or release dates—the rest is riddled with gunfire and explosions and a bit where a train carriage is knocked clean off a track. (Yes, there is a small explosion resulting from that.) Also pictured: the ballistic shields that will be added in the content pack, along with liberal use of speedboats and quad bikes.
Alien: Isolation was always essentially Alien: The Video Game in my mind, with its slavish reproduction of that film's technology, its sets, and the pre-Cameronised alien that hadn't yet been robbed of its near-indestructibility in the 1986 sequel. The news that Creative Assembly and Sega have gone full Alien and announced two bonus missions based on the original movie, and featuring the original cast, should make me very happy indeed—but it's been handled in just about the worst possible way. You'll get the first one along with some other stuff simply by pre-ordering the game, but to get both you'll need to pre-order from "select retailers", which haven't been announced yet.

Company of Heroes 2 has spent the last year being tweaked, balanced, and building an online community, and the latest DLC, the Western Front Armies, is a great step at advancing that success. The main game didn’t do so hot with scripting and acting out a campaign storyline, so this DLC ditches that: there’s no new single-player included. Instead, the focus is entirely on adding new blood to the multiplayer servers with the arrival of the German Oberkommando West and the US Army.

Arma 3 Karts began life as an April Fools' joke, but as sometimes happens, fans thought it was actually a pretty cool idea. So Bohemia Interactive decided to run with it, and the result is Arma 3 Karts, released today as an honest-to-goodness DLC pack for the famed military shooter, with a portion of sales going to charity.
It took me almost 100 hours, but I finally managed to burn myself out on Titanfall. Where Pearce douses for critical data within ctOS's sprawling net, T-Bone taps a few keys on his phone and blows up a bunch of cars. When Pearce draws heat from the law and kills power to a city block to sneak away, T-Bone shoots at a bunch of cop cars. Which blow up. I'm sensing a pattern here—and I'm sure there's more to T-Bone beyond detonations and dreadlocks—but finding out more means nabbing the $20/£12 Season Pass for the single-player DLC, as Ubisoft's latest trailer reveals.
I’ve already put 81 hours into Titanfall. It’s been hard to play anything else, but I promised myself I’ll take it easy until the first DLC, Expedition, is released. It will add three new maps: Swamplands, in which you’ll wallrun on trees (barkrun?), Runoff, which sounds sewer-themed, and War Games, which takes place in Titanfall’s training simulator. So far we’ve only got the smallest peek at Swampland, but today Respawn gave us a thorough breakdown of War Games.
Watch Dogs Creative Director Jonathan Morin previously said that it will take the average player 35-40 hours to get through the game’s story. Doing everything, he said, will take about 100 hours. If he’s accurate, that’s a lot of game, and even if that doesn't sound like it will keep you satisfied, there’s also enough DLC content coming to warrant a season pass.
