Even though Jeff Amazon's fun-time sales event is now over, there are still plenty of sorely tempting discounted rigs on offer. Because, as some sort of appetizer for the main Black Friday deals event in November, both Amazon and the big tech retailers are priming the pumps with a suite of sweet PC deals.

With the intense competition between Nvidia's RTX 40-series, AMD's RDNA 3, and Intel's Arc GPUs, there are even more competitively priced gaming PCs available from various retailers this year. This three-way battle ensures a wide selection of inventory for customers looking for a bargain, and yes, there are RTX 40-series machines with healthy discounts.

We've seen RTX 4060 gaming PCs down for less than $1,000. There are even discounts on RTX 4090-based machines. But while the graphics card is indeed the most important piece of the gaming PC puzzle in terms of raw frame rates, it's not the only thing to look out for.

Last-gen CPUs will still stand the test of time, but if you're looking at an Intel chip from the 11th Gen or lower, or an AMD Ryzen 3000-series CPU, you should be able to do better. Likewise you want at least 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. Though, it must be said, the Prime Day SSD deals are so good that if a system checks all the boxes but comes with a 500GB drive you're probably still in sight of a bargain.

Throughout the entire sale period, we've been dedicated to scouring for the best discounts and continuously updating this page with the best gaming PC Prime Day deals we could find. Alternatively, if you're in the market for a laptop, don't miss out on exploring the best Amazon Prime Day laptop deals

When will Amazon's Prime Day event end?

Amazon's Prime event runs through until midnight tonight, October 11. But it's worth noting that other retailers piggy-backing on Amazon's event will still be continuing the deals throughout the rest of the week, too.

Amazon Prime Day gaming PC deals

Yeyian Yumi | Core i5 12400F | Nvidia RTX 4060 | 16GB DDR4-3200 | 1TB SSD | $1,199.99 $869.99 at Newegg (save $330)

Yeyian Yumi | Core i5 12400F | Nvidia RTX 4060 | 16GB DDR4-3200 | 1TB SSD | $1,199.99 $869.99 at Newegg (save $330)
This is a good deal for a mid-tier gaming PC, especially when many rigs around this price are delivering you an RTX 3060 or RTX 3060 Ti. The Core i5 is still a solid CPU today, and RTX 4060 is probably the mainstream GPU of Nvidia's current generation of cards you'd expect in a budget build, comfortably beating both those RTX 30-series mainstays, and with the added panacea of DLSS 3.5 and Frame Generation. You also get a full 16GB RAM and a full 1TB NVMe SSD..

Skytech Shadow | Ryzen 5 5600X | RTX 4060 Ti | 16GB DDR4 RAM | 1TB NVMe SSD |

Skytech Shadow | Ryzen 5 5600X | RTX 4060 Ti | 16GB DDR4 RAM | 1TB NVMe SSD | $1,129.99 at Newegg
Another banger for Skytech, with this smashing low-end combo that's technically not on sale. The company keeps costs down with an affordable yet great-for-gaming, Ryzen 5 5600X processor. Paired with the RTX 4060 Ti, you shouldn't have trouble at 1080p or 1440p. And I've no complaints about that price, even regarding supporting components.

Price check: Amazon $1,279.99

Ipason gaming desktop | Core i5 13400F | RTX 4060 Ti | 16GB DDR5-4800 | 1TB NVMe SSD |$1,999.99 $1,199.99 at Newegg (save $801)

Ipason gaming desktop | Core i5 13400F | RTX 4060 Ti | 16GB DDR5-4800 | 1TB NVMe SSD |$1,999.99 $1,199.99 at Newegg (save $801)
This might be the best price on an RTX 4060 Ti system with DDR5 RAM for a good long while. With a modern Intel chip and platform you'll have the basis for a quality gaming PC for a good few years to come, and with room to upgrade, too. For $1,200, you have a deceptively powerful 1080p gaming PC that won't disappoint you.

Zotac MEK Hero Across the Spider-Verse | AMD Ryzen 5 7600 | Nvidia RTX 4060 Ti | 16GB DDR5-6000 | 1TB NVMe SSD | $1,299.00 at Amazon

Zotac MEK Hero Across the Spider-Verse | AMD Ryzen 5 7600 | Nvidia RTX 4060 Ti | 16GB DDR5-6000 | 1TB NVMe SSD | $1,299.00 at Amazon
Granted, it looks a lot like someone has just slapped a couple of Spidey stickers on the side of this chassis, but Zotac has a specific Across the Spider-Verse range of graphics cards, of which this RTX 4060 Ti is one. And yes, you get a bunch of stickers in the pack so you can adorn your case just like the pictures. Whatever, this is still a good price for an RTX 4060 Ti machine, and it comes sporting speedy DDR5 and a 1TB SSD, too. And that Zen 4 Ryzen chip isn't bad either.

ABS Stratos Aqua | Intel i7 13700KF  | Nvidia RTX 4070 | 16GB DDR5 RAM | 1TB PCIe SSD | $1,799.99$1,499.99 at Newegg (save $300)

ABS Stratos Aqua | Intel i7 13700KF  | Nvidia RTX 4070 | 16GB DDR5 RAM | 1TB PCIe SSD | $1,799.99 $1,499.99 at Newegg (save $300)
This ABS gaming rig is a good entry-level system with a nice base to expand if you decide to upgrade down the road. The RTX 4070 inside makes it ideal for 1440p gaming at pretty high settings with a decent framerate.

MSI Aegis R | Intel i7 13700F  | Nvidia RTX 4070 | 16GB DDR5 RAM | 2TB PCIe SSD | $1,799.99$1,499.99 at Newegg (save $300)

MSI Aegis R | Intel i7 13700F  | Nvidia RTX 4070 | 16GB DDR5 RAM | 2TB PCIe SSD | $1,799.99 $1,499.99 at Newegg (save $300)
This monolithic PC packs a lot of power at $1,500 thanks to its powerful current-gen Core Intel i7 CPU and RTX 4070. The one thing I really like is that it has a 2TB SSD, which is sorely lacking in many of these gaming PC deals.

Thermaltake View i467T R4 | Intel Core i7 12700F | Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti | 1TB SSD | 32GB DDR5 RAM | $1,649.99 at Best Buy
Thermaltake has been knocking it out of the park with some desktop deals recently, and this RTX 4070 Ti system is no exception. Yeah, it's got a last-gen CPU, but it still has enough horsepower to play most of your games with all the bells and whistles turned on.

Skytech Siege Gaming PC | AMD Ryzen 7 5800X  | Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti | 1TB SSD | 16GB DDR4 RAM |

Skytech Siege Gaming PC | AMD Ryzen 7 5800X  | Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti | 1TB SSD | 16GB DDR4 RAM | $1,679.99 at Newegg (save $70)
This Skytech Siege has a Ryzen 7 5800X CPU with an RTX 4070 Ti GPU backing it up. You're giving yourself really good performance for less than two grand. And you could dip your toes into some 4K gaming.

Price check: Walmart $1,749.99

Skytech Chronos Gaming PC | Intel Core i7 12700F | Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti | 1TB SSD | 16GB RAM DDR4 | $1,999.99 $1,699.99 at Amazon (save $300)Price check:

If you prefer your CPUs to come in an Intel flavor, then this Skytech system is pretty much the same as the above but uses a Core i7 12700F instead. It's a little bit faster in many games than the AMD CPU but it does use more power.
Price check: Newegg $1,699.99

ABS Stratos Aqua | Intel Core i7 13700KF | Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti | 1TB SSD | 16GB DDR5 RAM |$1999.99 $1,799.99 at Newegg (save $200)

ABS Stratos Aqua | Intel Core i7 13700KF | Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti | 1TB SSD | 16GB DDR5 RAM |$1999.99 $1,799.99 at Newegg (save $200)
This is a pretty good deal on a mid-range gaming PC with an RTX 4070  Ti and a current-gen (at least for now) CPU for only $1,800. This should give you some pretty decent performance for gaming and productivity.

Skytech Azure | Intel Core i5 13600K | Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti | 1TB SSD | 32GB DDR5 RAM |$1,799.99 at Newegg

Skytech Azure | Intel Core i5 13600K | Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti | 1TB SSD | 32GB DDR5 RAM |$1,799.99 at Newegg
The recent price drop on this liquid-cooled Skytech Azure gives a lot of performance for under $2,000. The current-gen Core i5 CPU provides a pretty generous core count for the price, and the RTX 4070 Ti inside it is no joke. Jump on this one before it sells out.

CyberpowerPC Gamer Master | AMD Ryzen 7 7700X | RX 7900 XT | 16GB DDR5 RAM | 1TB PCIe SSD | $2,019.99 at Adorama
Not technically a deal, and not necessarily as great a pricing as you could get a PC with Nvidia's competing RTX 4070 Ti for. But as an all-AMD gaming PC, it's worth a look, particularly with that nice, large PCIe SSD and DDR5 RAM.

While you're going last-gen on the Intel CPU here, that's a rather beastly AMD GPU. It may not be a consistent RTX 4080 competitor, but it'll get the job done at 4K. Pair that with a nice chunk of storage, and you've got a decent gaming PC for the price.

Price check: Newegg $2,099.99

Lenovo Legion Tower 7i | Intel Core i7 13700KF | GeForce RTX 4080 | 32GB DDR5-5600 | 1TB PCIe SSD | $2,989.99$2,349.49at Lenovo (save $640)

There's a lot to like about this Lenovo Legion Tower gaming PC. For starters, it's got a powerful current-gen CPU and decent RAM, making it a perfect gaming and work PC. I would have loved to have seen a larger SSD, but for the money you save, you can easily upgrade it for pretty cheap.

MSI Aegis RS | Intel Core i7 13700KF | Nvidia RTX 4080 | 16GB DDR5 RAM | 2TB PCIe SSD | $3,199.99 $2,399.99 at Newegg (save $800)

We found another good deal on a 13th Gen Intel machine with an RTX 4080. I wish the RAM were a bit better, but everything else, including a speedy 2TB SSD, is great if you plan on losing yourself in demanding games like Starfield but want a decent framerate.

Ultra 55 | Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti | AMD Ryzen 5 5500 | 16GB RAM | 1TB SSD | £1,249 £849 at Cyberpower PC (save £400)
Combine MSI's RTX 3060 Ti with the Ryzen 5 5500, and while you may struggle at 4K, you can bet this is a great config for gaming at 1440p. It also comes with a 1TB Solidigm P41 Plus NVMe SSD, so there is lots of storage to play around with, though it's not the speediest. 16GB of DDR4 RAM never goes amiss, either.

AlphaSync Sapphire | AMD Ryzen 5 5600X | Nvidia RTX 4060 | 32GB DDR4-3200 | 1TB SSD | £999.99 £899.99 at Ebuyer (save £100)

At under £900 there is a lot of PC here for the money. The RTX 4060 is the budget boi of Nvidia's RTX 40-series, and is actually a bit behind the RTX 3060 Ti in straight raster gaming performance, but does have some Frame Generation to lean on for help. It's that super-healthy backup spec that calls to me, though, with 32GB RAM and a full 1TB drive, this is a serious PC.

3XS SP4070TIR5 | RTX 4070 Ti | Ryzen 5 5600 | 16GB RAM | 1TB SSD | £1,479.98 at Scan

3XS SP4070TIR5 | RTX 4070 Ti | Ryzen 5 5600 | 16GB RAM | 1TB SSD | £1,479.98 at Scan
Stretching your budget a little can get you a PC with a current-gen graphics card, and while you'll have to compromise a little with an older CPU and DDR4 RAM, this is still a great high-end machine for the price. That's a 1TB Samsung 980 in there, too, which is still one of our favourite SSDs for gaming.
