Acer Predator rocks PAX East 2019 with Its Gaming After Party

Predator, NVIDIA and PC Gamer teamed up for the fourth straight year to host the Predator Gaming After Party at PAX East 2019. PAX VIPs, press and partiers all left the PAX convention center behind for the House of Blues Boston and a Friday night filled with esports matches, music, cosplay, dancing and multiplayer games on the latest Predator rigs.

At PAX East, attendees had the chance to win free VIP passes to the club by answering gaming trivia or tagging cool photos with the hashtag #PredatorPax. And one lucky PAX guest won a 15-inch Predator Nitro 5 laptop presented by Team Envy and cosplayer Danielle DeNicola.

Then, people took to the streets of Boston to hit up the Predator After Party. While the Predator team handed out beanies to keep the line of waiting party-goers warm, lucky VIPs and media guests got in an hour early to try out cutting-edge gaming setups like the 3-screen Thronos Gaming Chair and the Predator Orion 9000 with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20 Series graphics.

Once the rest of the eager crowd entered the club, many attendees lined up to live out their esports fantasies, live on stage. Regular Joe gamers played against pro members of Team Envy in 4x4 matches commentated by MC Bil “Jump” Carter. Winners walked away with the pride of winning an “official” esports match against real pros - and with a Predator-branded hat for their trophy.

The rest of the party goers crowded around the Predator demo pods for more casual gameplay action. On laptops and PCs like the Orion 9000, Nitro 5, Triton 700 and Helios 500, guests could play Fortnite, PUBG, Rocket League, Gears of War 4 and other demos on the club floor.

Meanwhile, partiers looking for a fun, chill night off from gaming could simply enjoy drinks on the dance floor, expert cosplay from host VickyBunnyAngel, and music from house DJ MissNinja. And after the esports matches ended, the stage was cleared for a headline performance from beloved EDM DJs Pegboard Nerds.

If you plan on attending PAX next year, or you’re just a Boston native who likes gaming and winning free stuff, we recommend you stay tuned for details on Predator’s  fifth-annual gaming extravaganza in 2020!
