An update to fix a handful of world-breaking bugs that have emerged in Batman: Arkham Origins has gone live, according to an update from publisher Warner Bros. Games. A quick look at the top tags on the game's official forums lists "bug" and "glitch" prominently, but for PC owners at least, the patch should help get you back to work cleaning up Gotham.

Just about anything can be turned into a MOBA these days—gods, sequels, and even Gandalf. The spaghettified web of comic book worlds and their classic hero vs. villain pairings seems like a natural fit for the teamwork and ability synergy found in those games, and Turbine agrees, bridging characters from the DC comic books with MOBA mechanics in Infinite Crisis, which will be free to play later this year.

Scribblenauts Unlimited review

Scribblenauts Unlimited... isn’t. Unlimited, that is. For the uninitiated, the Scribblenauts series is a family of cutesy side-scrolling puzzle games with an impressively comprehensive knowledge of the written word. Puzzles are solved – as they are in Unlimited – by summoning objects via simply typing the appropriate noun. No matter what you jot down, chances are (unless it’s copyrighted, or in some way related to phalluses) it’ll be recognised and manifested right in front of your cartoon face.

The continuation of Warner Bros.' Batman Arkham series seems as sure as everyone's favorite costumed vigilante brooding atop a gargoyle statue in a pose of solitude. In a call to investors (via VG247), the publisher rather offhandedly states that an additional Arkham will swoop in sometime this year.

Imagine if Christopher Nolan walked into the office of Geoff Warner and told him the next movie he wanted to make was ‘The Dark Knight On Rollerskates’. He’d be laughed out of the office. There’s a formula for making a movie blockbuster.

Games are different. In the world of games, it’s entirely possible for someone to walk into an important person’s office, pitch ‘Batman on rollerskates’ and walk out with a signed contract. Gotham City Impostors is the result this pitch.

Batman: Arkham City trailer introduces Penguin and Solomon Grundy

The latest Batman: Arkham City trailer has landed on Gamespot, giving us our first look at The Penguin. Rocksteady's vision of Cobblepot pegs him as a squat cockney chap. It's hard to judge whether this makes him more or less threatening, so to tip the scales he keeps undead hulk-thing Solomon Grundy chained up in the basement.

Grundy is an almost-impossible-to-kill zombie villain who appeared in an old Batman story called The Long Halloween, which was a heavy influence on the recent Christopher Nolan Batman films. Hopefully fighting him will be less monotonous than the boss battle with Bane in Arkham Asylum. We'll find out when Arkham City is released on October 18 in the US, and October 21 internationally.
