I can't decide if it's good luck or bad for the Steam summer sale to emerge from the undergrowth just as you're about to launch your new game - though it's almost certainly bad luck if you decide not to join in. Developers Two Tribes - Rush, Edge - did join in with the festivities, slashing 34% off their new game Toki Tori 2+ from its first day of appearing on Steam. If you missed the birdy metroidvania's daily deal, however, the good news is that Two Tribes have extended the savings for the entirety of the Steam sale, which runs until the 22nd of July.

When we took an overview of the remarkable happenings in the potato sack ARG yesterday, the trail was going cold, and it looked as though things were winding down. For a few hours at least, they were, then it all kicked off again. New updates have added Portal 2 themed levels to many of the games in the potato sack sale. The voice of Glados has started appearing in menu screens and secret messages, and to top it all, Bit.Trip Beat creators, Gaijin, dropped a heavy hint that completing the ARG could cause Portal 2 to be released early.

Adding fuel to that theory, today Portal 2 became available to pre-load through Steam. We've collected videos and screenshots of the new Portal 2 themed levels from potato sack sale below.

UPDATE FROM THE FUTURE: Woah, that was fun. Everything's all weird here in the past. Skyrim's not even out yet. A dark world indeed. Below you'll see some words and facts from months long gone. Be careful not to talk to them, that could cause a space-time implosion that could destroy the Internet. Instead let's observe that Valve held a potato sack sale once before, and it contained 13 indie games, and it was pretty cool. Where we're from, June 13 2012, the same sale is happening all over again. The wheel of time is turning, what once was will be again and all that. Anyway, you can get details on each of the games by clicking on the list of links below. Then, when you're ready, come with me, BACK TO THE FUTURE.
