The Mint Imperials

PC Gamer's Mint Imperials hit Korriban with an impressive show of force. Also: streaking

Star Wars: The Old Republic's world can sometimes feel a little lonely. Companions are good for crafting and questing but they don't do much dancing or streaking of their own accord. And some of them get annoyed if you farm bodies for dark side points. Eh... MAKO?

That all changed for me at 10pm on launch day. The above footage was taken at the steps of the Sith Academy in Korriban; it's the busiest I've ever seen an area in TOR, the greatest moment of my Old Republic experience so far, and a testament to the awesomeness of PC Gamer's EU guild: The Mint Imperials. Thanks to all that attended, danced and streaked. And apologies to anyone who couldn't join the instance because Bioware's server was imploding.

Play Star Wars: The Old Republic with us on Nightmare Lands and The Crucible Pits

Our US and European PC Gamer Sith and Republic guilds have been assigned servers. They shouldn't be hard to forget, as the European one is called NIGHTMARE LANDS, and the US one is called THE CRUCIBLE PITS. Both suitable evil names for our Sith guilds. If you're one of the lucky heroes who have received early access today, you can join us on those servers. If you want chat with fellow guild members, drop by the Mint Imperial and Coconut Monkeys threads in our forums.

Star Wars: The Old Republic guilds enter deployment phase

Star Wars: The Old Republic will go live in December, which means it's time for the Old Republic's guilds to enter their final phase, deployment. A post on The Old Republic site explains that TOR guilds can now deploy to become fully fledged in-game guilds, but "four members of the guild must have pre-ordered the game and redeemed their Pre-Order Code at the Code Redemption Center" in order for that to work.

Star Wars: The Old Republic guilds can now choose allies and enemies

The Old Republic's release date is still clouded by the Dark Side of the Force, but we've been able to form guilds for months. Now, Massively report that the ominously named "Phase 2: Alignment" stage is now underway, letting each guild ally or declare animosity with up three others.
