Slick '60s dude battles aliens without losing hat in The Bureau: XCOM Declassified trailer

Tom Senior at

Watch, as the The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, the shooter that 2K Marin have been working on for the last few years morphs before your very eyes into a game that looks a lot more like XCOM: Enemy Unknown, albeit with a slick early '60s sheen. The combination of otherworldly antagonists and everyday bureaucratic fustiness is fertile ground, if the success of the X-Files tells us anything. But Scully didn't have a glove that could lift things up so Mulder could zap them, and Mulder rarely wore a hat. What was Chris Carter thinking?

Cult '90s television aside, Declassified is looking good, as Craig Owens discovered when he played it for our Bureau hands-on. See it in action in the latest trailer.

Arma 2 Complete Collection gathers all post-release content into one pack

It speaks volumes of the staying power of DayZ when it gets top billing in Bohemia's new $40 Complete Collection pack for Arma 2. It's a more extensive (and slightly more expensive) way of nabbing the required content for the zombie survival mod beyond the $25 Combined Operations, but it's also the definitive accumulation of Bohemia's best.

Realism Theater: Watch this 100-man cooperative city raid in Arma 2

Mil-simmer maestro Dslyecxi regularly orchestrates operations within Arma 2 as the leader of Shack Tactical, an established Arma 2 enthusiast group. He's caught our eye in the past with PVP convoy ambushes and large-scale training maneuvers. Chimney Sweep, his latest production, tops the scale of his previous stuff: a claimed 100 soldiers (two platoons' worth) bounding between the custom Cinder City map, which is filled with computer opponents using a custom headless client algorithm.

Rainbow Six Patriots trailer talks bailouts, shows bombs

Tom Senior at

With a vaguely zeitgeisty spiel about home foreclosures and bailouts, domestic terrorist organisation, The Patriots, vigorously wave the "we're evil" flag by throwing a bomb-laden man out of a window to be detonated among the civilians far below. Judging from this bit of CGI and the previous trailer, throwing innocent people from a great height and then exploding them is going to be a recurring theme in Rainbow Six: Patriots. Edgy!

Though there's still no in-game footage, few solid details, and it's due out in 2013, Rainbow 6: Patriots is already available to Pre-order on the Ubisoft shop.

Rainbow 6 Patriots to use Assassin's Creed Anvil engine, new concept art rappels in

Tom Senior at

The "proof of concept" video above introduced us to the newly announced Rainbow 6 Patriots a few weeks ago. Now, there's some concept art and new info to go with it. Ubisoft say that the story of the battle against the domestic terrorist group, The Patriots, will be told from multiple perspectives. Team Rainbow will "wrestle with difficult ethical decisions" and employ a "doing whatever it takes mentality" to take the ultranationalist group down.

Luckily, "whatever it takes" should involve attaching yourself to a rappel cord and jumping off bridge struts shouting "wheeee!" a lot. That's according to the concept art, at least. See the new images below.
