Giveaway: Win a SteelSeries Rival Dota 2 Edition Mouse and SteelSeries Siberia V2 Dota 2 Edition Headset

PC Gamer at

This weekend, the world's best Dota 2 teams will gather to compete for the biggest award in e-sports' history. While that life-changing prize is out of reach to all but the most talented of players, we can soften the blow with a chance to win some quality gaming peripherals and exclusive Dota 2 items. We're giving away three sets of SteelSeries goodies, containing the SteelSeries Rival Dota 2 Edition Mouse and Hell's Glare weapon, and the SteelSeries Siberia V2 Dota 2 Edition Headset and Scythe of Vyse weapon.

SteelSeries announce Sentry Eye Tracker device, say its designed and optimised for gaming

Phil Savage at

I don't think it would be controversial for me to state that robots are cool, human flesh is weak, and the sooner we can transcend our consciousness into non-corporeal clouds of data, the better off we'll be. (On a related note: I have a cold right now, and may be angrier at biology than usual.) Even so, I'm not sure I've ever heard a phrase as distinctly chilling as "Sentry Eye Tracker," which is the name of a commercial product that, hopefully, doesn't harvest and catalogue your eyes. Instead, makers SteelSeries say, it's designed to "analyse, train and improve competitive gameplay".

Steelseries releases new WoW mouse

Adam Oxford at

Peripheral manufacturer Steelseries has revisited its World of Warcraft licence again, with the third iteration of its MMO mouse. Similar in size, shape and button number to the 'Legendary' edition of last year, the new WoW controller is wireless and preprogrammed with no less than 130 game commands.

It's the perennial problem for most MMO and strategy games: so many shortcuts, and so few fingers to hit them with. While your keyboard hand struggles with rows of bound buttons, though, all your mouse hand is doing is tapping scrolling around and tapping on a couple of a hard to miss paddles. Time to put those lazy appendages to work.

Steelseries reveals new peripherals for Guild Wars 2, Dota 2, and World of Warcraft

Josh Augustine at

Steelseries announced their next line of game-themed peripherals today, including a Dota 2 mouse, a Guild Wars 2 mouse and headset, and a new wireless version of their World of Warcraft mouse. Details, prices, and pictures for all three are below.

The best mice for Diablo 3

Tyler Wilde at

We joke about all the clicking in Diablo III, but broken mice and swollen wrists are no joke. They're bad things which make us sad. A good mouse is an important part of a balanced click-fest, so we've tested a selection of mice we think are best suited for Hell, as well as a few we don't recommend.

Note: If you're tired of Diablo III coverage, simply mentally replace any mention of it with "Torchlight II."

Hands on: Steelseries Simraceway S1 Wheel

Adam Oxford at

Steelseries' Wii inspired column-free wheel has just arrived in the office for review in this month's mag. The Simraceway S1 is a cockpit controller with everything but the wheel removed. Grasp it in two hands and take to the track without worrying about whether you bolted it down firmly enough on your desk. Just wave it left and right to turn corners.

Is it a liberating experience experience to be free of those clunky desk mounts, or consolisation of the PC gone too far?

Ultimate Christmas Giveaway: Win a bundle of Steelseries peripherals

Tom Hatfield at

Welcome to the PC Gamer Ultimate Christmas Giveaway! This is the biggest competition we've ever done: packed with peripherals, games, and exclusive items signed by some very important people. Why are we doing this? Because it's Christmas! And we love you.

So, to help you better interface with the machine spirit, we're giving away a bundle of Steelseries peripherals for you gaming pleasure. Steelseries Simraceway SRW-S1 out now

Adam Oxford at

Wheels? Where we're going we don't need wheels. At least, not in the traditional sense of bolting a giant steering column to your desk and planting huge metal pedals beneath your chair.

Steelseries' new Simraceway SRW-S1 is a motion sensitive controller which works like the one that came with Mario Kart for the Wii, but has enough buttons to keep even the simmiest of driving sim fans happy.

UK Christmas bonanza - Day 1: Win a SteelSeries Shift keyboard and Ruse mouse

Tom Senior at

The Christmas bells are ringing and carol singers are warming up, which means it's that time of year again. Time for PC Gamer to launch a midnight raid on Santa's grotto in order to steal lots of lovely stuff for our readers. The good news is that this year's raid went down with minimal elf casualties, and the spoils were even better than usual. That means we'll be holding a competition every single day from now until Christmas.

Today we've got a stealthy pair of peripherals to give away in the form of the SteelSeries Xai Ruse mouse and the chameleon of the keyboard world, the SteelSeries Shift keyboard. If you live in the UK and want to know how to win, read on.

Win a SteelSeries Shift keyboard (US only)

PC Gamer at

Tired of games that won't let you remap the controls however you like? The sleek and sexy Shift Gaming Keyboard from SteelSeries will solve all your problems, including problems you didn't know you had. Every single key is completely programmable, letting you fool your games into thinking you're pushing M when you're really pushing Q, and turn the Windows key from a game-minimizing nuisance into the button you push when you want to break someone's face with your fist (in the game). It's also backward-compatible with the Z-board's removable keysets, so you can swap in (for example) a specialized World of Warcraft set when you're ready to play.

We've got 10 of these suckers to hand out to lucky readers, so read on to find out how to enter!
