The long-awaited zombie survival RPG Dead State has been teasing us for years now, but the wait is finally coming to a close. In a newly released video, developer Brian Mitsoda reveals a demo entitled Dead State: The First 7 Days. It will cover the first week of the game, including the beginning stages of a new shelter and the first hints of the overall story, and is expected to arrive in January.

Call of Duty: Online, the free-to-play, online only, microtransaction-fueled multiplayer shooter published exclusively in China, is adding robot zombies to the game. The beautiful, minimalist strategy game rymdkapsel—from Swedish indie developer grapefrukt games (Martin Jonasson’s one man studio)—is coming to Windows, OS X and Linux in January via Steam. Jonathan Blow, the frequently outspoken developer behind indie hit Braid and upcoming puzzle game The Witness, has posted a pair of pictures hinting that virtual reality support may be coming to the Myst-alike. The images feature the unmistakable double-vision familiar from every Oculus Rift game demo, and as pointed out by an eagle-eyed commenter on Blow’s site, the images are titled VR1 and VR2.

British developer Eutechnyx today announced that it’s currently working on Storm of Vengeance, a MOBA set in Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000 universe. Slated for a 2014 release on PC and mobile devices, Eutechnyx describes Storm of Vengeance as a “lane strategy game” set in the dark, gothic, but not-at-all emo universe of Warhammer 40,000.
Sport, up to now, has been dangerously lacking in bi-pedal robots. This seems like a big failure, given that bi-pedal robots aren't going to demand massive salaries, drunkenly assault clubgoers, or spend the majority of their time filming adverts for razorblades. As role models go, they're pretty much perfect. In this sense Frozen Endzone is depicting a utopia: one where automated athletes do battle, all without ever feeling the need to spit on the pitch.

The expansion will focus in greater detail on Gaul and south Brittania, with this smaller area balanced by a shorter timeframe. Inspired by Caesar’s war diaries from the era, players will be able to play as the Gallic Arverni, the Germanic Suebi, the Belgic Nervii and Rome.
