They mostly come at night, mostly, but it's early afternoon in the UK, and new screenshots for Gearbox's Aliens: Colonial Marines have just arrived. They show the co-operative shooter's glistening world, and remind us of two important things: wherever you go, there's an alien dangling behind your head, and they're coming out of the Goddamn walls, man. We'll bring you more information on the once-canned, now-alive game as soon as we've taken off and nuked the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
GAME OVER MAN GAME OVER
Sega have just sent word that Aliens: Colonial Marines will be coming out in Spring next year. The new teaser trailer above is designed to whet our appetite ahead of a full showing at E3 2011 next week. Colonial Marines is a co-operative squad shooter that pits players against probably the most feared aliens in science fiction, the eyeless Xenomorphs. As well as the video, there's also a brand new screenshot, which you'll find embedded below. For more information, head over to the new Aliens: Colonial Marines site.
VG247 have just spotted a tweet from UK member of parliament Ed Vaizey that suggests the Total War developers, Creative Assembly could be developing a new game based on the Alien films.
His tweet reads: "Great visit to Creative Assembly one of UK's best developers. Now hiring for new blockbuster based on Alien"
"Based on" suggests it might not be an official alien game, but The Creative Assembly is owned by Sega, who published Rebellion's Aliens vs. Predator reboot last year, and are behind Gearbox's upcoming Aliens: Colonial Marines. They have the rights to the Alien franchise. This could be happening. We'll bring you the latest details as soon as they emerge. ZOMG. Get the latest updates below.
