"New interactive corners!" isn't a phrase you'd normally associate with an exciting announcement, but Blizzard's Hearthstone does have some proddable boards. The game's new corners are attached to a somewhat more significant announcement: a new singleplayer PvE mode. Curse of Naxxramas: A Hearthstone Adventure will challenge players to overcome five wings of the Warcraft dungeon—flinging their decks at a series of bosses, in order to earn brand new cards.

The frog looks worried for a reason. Blizzard's Chief Creative Chap Rob Pardo made the announcement at Blizzcon, which also hosted a Blizzard "fireside chat" containing a few interesting tidbits about the closed beta, and their plans for Hearthstone next year.

About a minute and ten seconds into this launch trailer for Scrolls, Mojang's strategy card game, you can clearly see a player firing a catapult at a little group of bunnies. Now I know morality can be a tricky thing, but come on! What harm have bunnies ever done? Lynched lagomorphs aside, the trailer also reveals the date of the open beta, due next week on June 3rd.

Spicy Horse's Next Game is Hell Invaders

Banishment to Hell's deepest, fieriest pits? We wouldn't have expected any less of gaming's own Master of the Dark Arts, American McGee. But as a collectible card game/RTS hybrid? Okay, that's a little different. McGee's studio Spicy Horse announced its new game today, the tentatively and unsubtly titled Hell Invaders. If the first screenshots are anything to go by, there's enough fire and brimstone here to last a lifetime of damnation—and all contained conveniently in card form, too!

Six cards to jumpstart your army in BattleForge

Just having large, fire-breathing dragons that can burninate pathetic peasants on a whim is not enough for me. My fire-breathing dragons must be infused with unholy power and foaming at the mouth with bloodlust before I sic ‘em on the enemy—if we’re going to kill an entire civilization, we’re going to do it right, dammit. So I give my dragons drugs.
