GTA 5 PC: everything you need to know

NEW FOR PC

New graphics options

GTA graphics options

GTA 5 on PC has a wealth of extra graphics options to ensure that the game scales down to less powerful machines. For ultra rigs, various soft shadowing options, anti-aliased reflections and generous rendering distances ensure that GTA 5 PC will look miles better than its console counterparts. There are lots of control options, too, so you can set up the game's vehicle handling to your taste and get your mouse working as you like it—see the full set of options here..

4K Support

GTAV4 4K Support

GTA 5 on PC is promising to be the definitive version and will look better than ever. With the right hardware it will go up as high as 4K resolution to deliver incredibly detailed visuals. Those with monster gaming rigs will be pleased to hear that there's also support for up-to-triple monitor configurations.

Rockstar says that to run the game at 60fps at 4k resolution you'll need a "high-end SLI or Crossfire setup". Find out what rig you'll need to run a 1080p setup at 60fps, read the full story.

New Music

GTAV4 New Music

On top of the 15 diverse music radio stations (and two talk radio stations) that already feature in GTA 5, the PC version is getting an extra music station called The Lab. This will feature brand new tracks composed by The Alchemist and Oh No working with Woody Jackson and Tangerine Dream, who together created the original score heard during a number of key missions in the game. The Lab's additional set of music spans multiple genres and will "weave together a musical journey that covers every corner of the fictional world of Grand Theft Auto V".

Video Editor

Another new feature being added to PC GTA 5 is the Rockstar Editor. It will provide a complete set of editing tools for "recording, staging and editing original custom videos" in-game. You'll be able to add soundtracks to these custom clips using music from debut radio station The Lab, which can then be published directly to Rockstar's Social Club and YouTube— read the full story.

The PC version of GTA 5 will include "Director Mode", a powerful tool that enhances players' abilities to shoot video in Los Santos.
