How do you top Batman: Arkham Asylum, Rocksteady's tremendous third-person action-adventure that saved Bats from a life of dire movie tie-ins and fighting game appearances (well, mostly)? It's simple: you take the stealthy, gadget-heavy, goon-outsmarting action and you transplant it to Arkham City, a Gotham-set super-prison packed with puzzles and secrets, side-missions and crumbling skyscrapers, a place that's enormous fun to explore.

As you'd expect from acclaimed comics scribe Paul Dini, the story's not half-bad either, roping in the likes of Catwoman and The Penguin, and exploring the complex Batman/Joker relationship in hugely satisfying style - in no small part down to the sterling voice-work of Mark Hamill.
