Of the new rules, I think only 3 need to be addressed more fully before enacting them.
Rule 8 says you must be an architect to own a city. What defines a city? Is it because one person calls it a city, or three people do? Most of the VIPs on our server now were builders when they started their cities, so I don't think this rule is necessary. Let builders build and if they kick total ass, then we make them architects and they have more clout.
Rule 9 says, must get admin approval for city rules. Shouldn't city rules be the same as server rules, other than asking for permission to build in a city. So maybe rule 9 should be changed to, don't build in a city unless you get permission from it's founders.
Rule 10 says art must be in designated areas. I know we have a lot of ugly builds on the server, but there is some brilliant stuff too, and they didn't have these restrictions on where they were made. If we had a designated art area then their would be limits on what one could build, especially in size. I feel that people should be able to build in the "wild" wherever they find a space to accommodate their idea. Plus I think an Art area would look ugly with a mish mash of character art and other abstract builds. Maybe a mod or admin could copy and paste really exceptional art and put it into a gallery area.
Finally I think that the current rank system is fine as it is. Default, builder, VIP (architect), Mod, and Admin. We could change VIP to architect but other than that I think things work fine now, especially since defaults have to put in more effort to be promoted to builder.
I'm for erasing the map and starting new.
