Thumbs up Battlefield 3 Special Video

    Hey All,

I didn't see if this has been posted already, but if it has, sorry for the re-post.

Anyway, even though they have a slight bias, the video is pretty cool. Some new footage and screenshots. Plus a lot of background info as well.

It's looking like ity may be on track to be an awsome game. I for one am looking forward to it.

    Cheers!

A Battlefield 3 trailer was on in between the first and second half of the Champions' League Final tonight. Looked damned good on my big TV - they appear to be going for the CoD style advertising campaign this time around.

I've seen it but good to see it being shared! I want more more more more more information. I really want to start seeing some multiplayer gameplay but I realize thats still awhile to come.

Damn that destruction looks fantastic. Why will people buy COD if this game's out there? It amazes me how people choose crap over quality. On Amazon it says Battlefield 3 release date 4th November and MW3 is 8th November.

I like MW3 and I like BF3, but which one is better? Only one way to find out...fight!

Except I gave up on CoD after MW1 which was at least vaguely novel, and BF1942 remains one of my favourite games of all time (kind of missed out on the whole BF2 scene due to pesky exams).

Yep, it would never be as good.

    Ha ha.

Seriously. I like CoD as well. I liked the graphics, the gameplay, and the SPEC-OPs missions (I just wish you didn't have to have 2 players for some of them). But IMHO, nothing can beat BF for the destructible enviroments...it's a real game changer for both SP and MP.

In BF:Bad Company 2, the SP was scripted in a way like CoD, but not as constricting. You still had options of blowing a hole into the side of a building and choosing a new path.

For MP, there is no comparison - the destructible enviroment wins hands down. Too many snipers hiding in the woods? There's a fix for that; level the trees with C4 or mortor strikes. Squads using the atttic of a building for a spawn point? Level the building! Team bogged down at a choke point? Make your own path by blowing holes in walls and buildings.

BF:BC2 has spoiled me. Now when I play other FPSs or even older games in the BF series, I get frustrated at the non-destructable gameplay. Not that those other games are not good; just not AS good.

However, as with any game, this could just be all pre-release hype and the game will end up sucking (Crysis 2?). However, based off of BF:BC2 and what I have seen so far from BF3, I would suspect it's going to be more than average.

All in all, PC gaming is GOOD!
