Seriously. I like CoD as well. I liked the graphics, the gameplay, and the SPEC-OPs missions (I just wish you didn't have to have 2 players for some of them). But IMHO, nothing can beat BF for the destructible enviroments...it's a real game changer for both SP and MP.
In BF:Bad Company 2, the SP was scripted in a way like CoD, but not as constricting. You still had options of blowing a hole into the side of a building and choosing a new path.
For MP, there is no comparison - the destructible enviroment wins hands down. Too many snipers hiding in the woods? There's a fix for that; level the trees with C4 or mortor strikes. Squads using the atttic of a building for a spawn point? Level the building! Team bogged down at a choke point? Make your own path by blowing holes in walls and buildings.
BF:BC2 has spoiled me. Now when I play other FPSs or even older games in the BF series, I get frustrated at the non-destructable gameplay. Not that those other games are not good; just not AS good.
However, as with any game, this could just be all pre-release hype and the game will end up sucking (Crysis 2?). However, based off of BF:BC2 and what I have seen so far from BF3, I would suspect it's going to be more than average.
All in all, PC gaming is GOOD!
