    I don't think it should be public. By "...a subscribers area on the PCGamer site where we could download this stuff if we're interested" I meant magazine subscribers. If you subscribe to the magazine you have subscription code. To access the subscribers area you would need to enter this code to verify your subscription to the magazine. I've seen other magazines and their sites do this.
