    Default Team Epic 26/01/2011

We have 2 raid shifts scheduled tomorrow for BoT. I didn't post them until Monday because I was waiting to confirm what 25-man raid we're going for with the other raid leaders. Team Awesome will be heading for BoT, and so will we.

Some of you might not have had chance to sign up yet; I'll be doing the roster tomorrow MIDDAY; if you're not signed up, or at least replied to this thread by then, then I can't include you.

We'll be switching to a new system after tonight, and as it's such short notice, I'll provide them. Any donations are welcome, but entirely voluntary.

I've stuck with the same Cho'Gall team, as I think that gives us the best chance of getting him down. Obviously I'll switch things around subsequently.

Again, apologies for only posting this raid 2 days ago; it probably means that at least one person who would have signed hasn't, but I know you still love me.

My gf has been ill yesterday and today, which is why I haven't signed - it is faintly possible I will be around to relieve one of the tanks, but I really couldn't say with any certainty until this evening, which is far too short notice anyway. Good luck this evening, I reckon you have a good chance of doing it

    Default Raid Report

    Tonight's Epiccers: As above.

Bosses killed: Halfass, Valiona, Ascendent Council
    Bosses attempted: Cho'Gall (3% best)

Another lucrative night, and I was really pleased with out performance on the first 3 bosses; they're all on farm, and we even got a couple of useful drops out of 'em.

Cho'gall is a really, REALLY hard fight for us. We don't have the perfect comp. amongst our 14, and killing him is going to demand flawless performances from everyone. We almost got there once, but failed because we had too much blood corruption.

    What's killing us is:

    - SOMETIMES some slow reactions to mind controls
    - The blood bubbles reaching anyone (this adds HUGE stacks of corruption, they mustn't get near)

I know these things are really hard, and you're all trying your best, but we just need an extra 2% and we're there. I'll work on the exact positioning of ranged, but the rule is; the blood bubbles must be AoEd from the second they spawn, and you must not allow them to get within 5 yards of you. If they do, you'll just get huge corruption stacks and cause us to fail the fight.

Almost there, guys. We'll get him.

So close again guys! I have no doubt that you will see him downed in the very near future though.

It does sound like a very tough fight, but I am looking forward to trying it when Awesome get there!

It kind of reminds me of the Arthas fight, in the sense that we have to overcome things one at a time. Once we managed to control defile we then had problems with the Valkyrs and when we managed to overcome that we had trouble running from the vile spirits on P3. It was only when after enough practice we could master all three and down him.

It's kind of the same with Cho'gall, at first it was the mind controls but we seem to have overcome that. Now it's the oozes and then probably when we get that down we'll have to learn to kill the tentacles super fast in P2. All about practice really.
