    Default Im Sorry but...

Is there really anything here to distinguish this from City of Heroes, Champions Online?

I've played both of those extensively, and the videos and trailers for DC dont seem to stray far from the formula.

the combat system is totally different and the story seems a lot more interesting, where I found champions and CoH a total grind fest with no real story and very few interesting missions.

yes it has better story, and nice voiceovers.
But it is a little short, seem their just want you to get to endgame fast, meaning endless grinding the same stuff over and over..

To be fair, there was lot of grinding missions in CoH, from the multitude of Frostfire runs to the relentless Dreck farming. It's a game built on repeating missions over and over again. True the leveling was a harder, longer job (my main was a Psionics/Emp healer), but I actually found that a lot less satisfying than the low level shit-kicking that DCUO gives you.

Hopefully the monthly updates will address content issues, although I would expect it won't be long before we see some micro-transaction dlc turning up.

All in all, I think it's a bit early to be calling the game brilliant, or, rubbish, but I'm finding the instant satisfaction of the game a lot more redolent of WoW than CoH, or, Champions.

yes many missions in COH was the same, go to that building and kill every one / boss.
But I love the sidekick/mentor system

But DCUO still feels to short, I am just happy I dint pay full price for it, it was on sale.
Also I don think I am going to keep my sub alive, just not enouge to do..
Doing the same missions over and over, just to get better gear so I can do the same mission againg better, no thank you.

Maybe in time where their add more content, but if their going to make it so you have to pay for it no thanks, maybe if the game hade enouge content from start, but not as it is now.

Also take note that during the end of beta event, they threw lvl 60 mobs at everyone. Most MMOs plan out content years in advance and have all the code in game for those higher levels. It's just getting around to doing it. They still have to fix some UI issues though, but the game so far has been fun. It's a new game and as such it will have problems, all games do that, even WoW has undergone a hell of a lot of updates. So don't count the game as down and out yet :3

yes the UI suffer alot of being the same as the PS3 use.
But we are not playing at the same servers as them, so no need to limite the chat/UI like the ps3 have.

Ijust hate that you have to do alot of the same missions to get tier1 gear so you can do raids to get tier2 gear.
But I hate that in every game, but DCUO is just so short that you get there fast.

    Also very limit power choices.
