Post Good multiplayer games - on 1 pc

Hey, Can anyone reccomend some good multiplayer games that can be played on 1 pc? Ive yet to find one that rivals Lord of the rings return of the king - apart from trine.

Kane and Lynch has good split-screen co-op on one PC.

Trine was already mentioned, my girlfriend and I play that together often.

A lot of racing games, like the recent Blur and Split/Second, have same-screen multiplayer.

If you're into the old need for speed games, Need for speak hot pursuit is split screen. Quite fine too if you disregard the low graphics.

The music based shoot-em-up Beat Hazard now has a single PC co-op mode.

I think Left 4 Dead (And possibly 2) supports single PC splitscreen. I hear you need to do some console trickery to enable it though.

I've always checked Co-optimus. Good for Console games too.

    Well...

Left for Dead 1 and 2 (Both require some minor tweaking, but works good split screen)
    Kane and Lynch
Any fighting game (Guilty Gear X2, Street Fighter 4)
    Serious Sam 1 and 2
    Terminator: Salvation
    Lego Racer 1 and 2
    Overload
    Sega Rally Revo
Unreal Tournament 3 (Bleh. Stay far away... better yet, run. FAST)

Split Screen games are being rare these days it seems.

Really? No mention to any PC TBSs so far?

Come on! The original roots of PC multiplayer was the good 'ole Hot Seat! I'm ashamed of you so-proclaimed "PC Gamers"...

I can't say for sure, but I think the last TBSs released were Civilization 4 and Heroes of Might and Magic 5, both allow hotseat, that is, play one turn then leave the seat for your friend (and thus, why it is called "hot seat"). Galactic Civilizations 2 may allow, but I'll have to get back to you because I never tried. Civilization 5 will probably allow it, as should Disciples 3. The revered Lords of Magic also allows it, but it is a bit funky to get it going. Pretty much all Turn Based Strategy games that are all resolved in turns have hot seat.

My infancy was spent playing Heroes of Might and Magic 2 in hotseat with my brother. Geez.
