    Default PSU switcheroo

Hey all. I needed to swap PSUs with my other rig as I'm putting a 7970 into it and taking the 7950. The destination rig has an XFX 550W that only has 8+6 PCI power and I the 7970 needs 8+8.

I was going to swap it my the other PSU that's a Corsair TX750. Will the XFX 550W be okay for my OC'd 1090T and 7950?

The XFX should have at least 2 6+2 pin connectors on it.
But everything should be fine otherwise.

It's a good Seasonic built PSU with a single rail design so quality & stability of power isn't an issue.

As for quantity, I'd just suggest to reset to stock settings before you unplug the 750W PSU. Then with the 550W PSU, just bump them up again as though your OC'ing it for the first time again, just to be cautious.

A quality 550 watt power supply is enough juice for any single GPU system. Both your Corsair and XFX are good quality units so no real need to swap either really.
