Default New Rig I Am Working On

Looking for some tips on this rig: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/18z1L
It is going to be my next build. Trying to not go over $1600.
I can't decide between staying w/ default case fans, going with corsairs AF/SP series, or Noctua. The Noctua will not fit well w/ the color though.
Also I am thinking about getting two of the HDDs for Raid 0.
OS will be picked up from my college for 15 bucks, and I have the monitor, keyboard, and mouse already.
I am going to swap out the modular cables with corsair braided cables, white.

Any thoughts or recommendations would be nice.

Okay. I would suggest the Plextor M5P instead of that SSD and any better PSU instead such as Rosewill Capstone, XFX, Seasonic, or somthing similar.

For fans, I suggest Scythe Gentle Typhoons or San Ace if you want to use something thats not default. For cables, why corsair ones and not Bitfenix ones or what looks aesthecially the best, MDPC-X sleeves and do it manually.

The Plextor has a better write speed. The Samsung has almost a 0% failure rate though. I would trust the corsair PSU over a Rosewill. Every thing Rosewill I have used is flimsy. Thanks on the bitfenix cables, those are real nice. I would go for doing the wrapping my self, but it is expensive and too time consuming for me right now. I'll go for MDPC-X's for my next build. I am going to think on the SSD. I am not sure if 30 dollars is worth the change in write speed.

Eh, the Plextor is more stable . In fact, the normal 840 is inferior to the 830 simply because Samsung has used a shittier controller and thus, a greater failure rate than Plextor. The M5P on the other hand, is using the newest Marvell controller, which also increases reliability. As for Corsair vs Rosewill, the Corsair is a rubbish CWT unit that doesn't do that well in terms of quality. When you look at the Rosewill Capstone, its an Super Flower Golden Green unit and regulates the power much better. You can look at jonnyguru reviews, which will back up what I have said.

Oh right, jonnyguru is mostly PSU, anandtech or any other site can back up the Plextor thing.

I've been building custom gaming computers for over 10 years. My recommendations are:

ASUS motherboard
EVGA Nvidia card
Plextor M5P Xtreme 256Gb SSD hard drive
Western Digital Black 2Tb 7200RPM hard drive

Your cooler is good; however there are a lot better ones available. Zalman CNPS 9900, NZXT Kraken x60.

Also, the Plextor is by far a better drive. Get that one.
