Default Guild 2 Guild: get it now

    Hey guys,

To help with the guild split, we've started experimenting with a new add-on that lets us share guild chat across multiple guilds. The addon we're using is called Guild2Guild and is available here:

    http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/guild2guild.aspx

You'll need to enable the "enable out of date addons" checkbox in the addon options before you login.

Once it's running, you'll need the password: beard.

    And that's that.

I was reading on the curse forums that the guy who manages Guild2guild was not going to continue maintaining it, specifically:

    Hi there,

I've stopped playing WoW, so I wasn't planning an update.

If anyone else wants to take the add on over you may. Let me know and I can transfer ownership via curse.

(If no one steps up in the short term I may come back - because my former guild mates will need it fixed too.)

    Thanks

    Doug

Might need to look at one of the other guild link addons for the future.

Theres another mod called cross guild out there but still doing beta's at the minute only problem is you have to resync it every time you log on different character.

There is now a new version of Guild2Guild (version 7.6.0) on curse.com which is compatible with 4.01.

We now shouldn't need to look for an alternative addon.

Hopefully that will mean my error notification mod will stop going off every five seconds

Ah good, as the current version I have stops me getting into the game properly. I would appear in the world only to find everyone else was "Unknown" and unable to do anything much until I was auto-kicked. Disabling g2g solved the problem.
