I was in Ninja Theory forums and stumbled upon this thread called "Primary Development Platform?"
So basically the thread is about if either X360 or PS3 is the lead platform and one of devs (Lusty) responds:
"We're actively developing day to day on both PS3 & 360; we have the same number of PS3 and 360 kits in the studio. A lot of work is also done on a PC build as we don't have enough kits for everyone - they cost more than my car!"
So does this mean they're also working on a PC version of the game? I know DMC3 and 4 were on PC but this is being made by Ninja Theory which are a quite new studio and have yet to release a PC game so it will be interesting.
Anyway then he continued:
"We've also got a load of automated tests which we run on all platforms these are not just to find bugs but also to check on performance issues. We know that it's really important to maintain a high FPS with absolutely no slow-down or spiking and this helps us to do that.
So the answer really is all platforms get equal love.
Although having said that we have found that it's usually harder for us to get things working fast on the PS3. It's a really powerful piece of kit but it's a little more complex to work with than the 360. So maybe there is slightly more work being done on the PS3 as we can be pretty sure that if we get it working at a decent FPS on PS3 then it's going to work on 360 too."
So all platforms are gonna get equally attention.
Also the game is apparently running on Unreal Engine 3.
I made this thread as nowhere else have I heard anything about a PC version of DmC so I was quite surprised.
