Post Pre-5.2 Census

So much for being timely with these things. Last one was April last year…
(Last one found here: http://www.pcgamer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17144)
Anyway… Onward!

Howdy Folks!
Going to quickly preface this with some news and then statistics.

News:
Apparently, The Drafia are upping sticks and moving to Draenor. (The Realm, not the destroyed planet.)
Their reason? Apparently SWC Horde is dying?

Statistics:
PCG is now the 3rd largest Horde guild on SWC, with Shades of a Radiant Tear and Play For Fun in 1st & 2nd respectively.
PCG is 8th largest overall.

These stats courtesy of http://wow.realmpop.com/eu-steamwheedle-cartel.html

Now, onto the census:
With the shuttering of Swarm, We saw a rise in numbers from the April 2012 census. We're up to 451 as of today.

Now for the break downs:
General:
Screen Shot 2013-02-13 at 19.42.02.jpg

Notes by Class: Increases may be from Swarm, may be new rolls. No way of knowing until I do the Swarm. Also, as the last ones were of the entire 1-85 pop, this breakdown focuses on that. I may steal Aph's numbers later.

Death Knights: 7 more than last time
Druids: 9 More. Remember, Spay & Neuter your Kitties…
Hunters: 5 More. Strange, seeing as there's no gear for them…
Mages (Magi?): Up by 7. Mirror Image perhaps?
Monks: New Class. Up by 34! Heh.
Paladins: Increased by 9
Priests: The Catholic Church wishes they had our take up rates… Up by 10!
Rogues: Either we're getting better at finding them, or Fangs of the Father tempted people. Up 10. That's almost a 50% increase in PCG Rogues since April.
Shamans: Up 5. Nice to see more Totem Chuckers! (Yes, that was intentional.)
Warriors: Up 10. I… actually have nothing to say on that, strange…
Warlocks: Lets see if Green Fire brings more of these out of the Woodwork. Up 16! Biggest existing class increase!

And especially for Beli…
Level 90's: This doesn't yet have specs, I'll pull that out later.
Screen Shot 2013-02-13 at 19.42.13.jpg

Quick notes:
Under 1/3rd of the guild (30.3-odd%) are at level 90.
I'll start going to 85, 80, 70, 60 later.
Rogues and Warriors are the least represented classes at 90, everything else is within ± 5 of the average of 12.45 toon's per class. Including Monks, who are below average.
We have more priests than a Church on Sunday.
Weirdly, we now have less Shaman at cap than we had in April. Obviously people left. Moar Shamans Plox!

Race wise, at 90, we've a pretty decent spread, lowest is 12 Pandaren, highest (and no surprise) are belfs. We're a buncha pervs…
In first: Skimpy Dressed Belfs. Including the men in that…
We've more beef than a tesco burger, with 25 Tauren in second place.
In 3rd, Ykyik would love to know mon, dere be moar Trolls.
4th is Orcs, 5th is Gobbos, 6th are Undead and Pandas are in last. Not as surprising as you'd think.

If we move to the 1-90 spread, we see a fair spread across the board, and the usual Belf Perv Spike.

Percentages! It's Class: Total: of Capped
Death Knight: 9.97% total; 8.02% of Capped
Druid: 9.31%; 9.48%
Hunter: 9.09%; 8.02%
Mage: 9.09%; 10.21%
Monk: 7.53%; 8.76%
Paladin: 11.08%; 10.21%
Priest: 11.52%; 13.86%
Shaman: 7.09%; 10.94%
Warrior: 9.09%; 6.56%
Warlock: 9.75%; 8.02%

I'll do Swarm and more spec based stuff once I get home and eat.
In the meantime, feel free to chime in with opinions, rants and bribes!

Default Apologies for Bump

Apologies for Bump, but I've had the time to do some maths.

I don't yet have class / spec breakdown, but I do have raw level numbers.

There's slightly over half the guild stuck in Pre-Mists content.
There's (nearly) as many in BC content as there is in Wrath content.
Slightly more people in Pre-Cata content as there is in Cata content.

Essentially, 44.5% of toons are doing Mists content.
Nearly 26% are doing Cata content.
3.7% are doing Wrath content.
3.5% are doing BC content.
22.2% are doing Classic content.

I'll update this more later, but hope that's helpful.

Nice work, though I would dispute some of your numbers.
Most people will move on to Wrath at 68, Cata at 80 and Panda at 85. Can't remember what level BC is normally tackled at.
But. This is a gray area and will always be a difficulty of stats.
Keep up the great work Antonius

Yep. 58 for BC and 68 for Wrath. But, like you said, grey areas.
To be fair, its about how you split it. I felt 10 level splits and then based along expansion level ranges would give a fair idea of where people are in the guild.
I mean, most alts in PCG are hovering between 20 and 30.
It might be the most barren area for quests, or there's other reasons.

Myself? I think its cos rested starts to matter more past 20, so people build it up.

Interesting.

I am surprised to hear that we are the third largest Horde guild on the server. It feels pretty small nowadays. A lot are alts of course, but we rarely have more than about 12 people on at any given time.
