Default Games you enjoyed too much

Most of us have (at least) one, what's a game you enjoyed far too much and even years later can remember far too much about it to really enjoy it properly.

For me it'd probably be Fallout 2 and Hitman:BM, I can remember how to do near every quest in Fallout 2 even now (because I played it too many times) and I can still remember the map layouts of Hitman because of how close I'd study the map before getting on with it (measure twice cut once eh), after my first play through of that I couldn't really enjoy it anymore (dammit that game needed a level editor).

Of the two though I'm really looking forward to forgetting a lot about Fallout 2 so I can play it again.

Yeah good point, I played that way way too much, and Men Of War Assault Squad too, though I've been tempted to load the latter back up again.

Team Fortress Classic. I played it for years and I have every map, skin, sound ever made for it installed once. I play it from my senior year of HS - Through college and all the way up to the 3 year of my first born's life. Shit....at one point I had two floors of a company I worked at playing it every friday after work for 2 hours on jumbo screens.

    The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

I can even remember the amount of time on my save games for each of my 3 playthroughs a decade ago. First one only got to 90-92 hours on my Rage Fury Pro setup before I had to give up, the card was constantly overheating. My next playthrough was on my 4200ti and the water surfaces stunned me with that upgrade. That and my next playthrough were 140 and 300 hours respectively.

I only picked it up again a few months ago unmodded and it was still spectacular, but I ended up reformatting my PC and finally upgrading from XP. I plan to start it again sometime within the next couple of years, but there's still a lot of games I want to play. I still remember almost everything about it, but never did go to Solstheim. That is something to look forward to whenever I decide to install it again.

The only other games that I've played as much as that are Rome: Total War, X3: Terran Conflict, and possibly Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, Spearhead. Rome and X3 still have plenty of enjoyment potential though.

Oblivion was my first foray back into gaming after my first year of teaching. It was incredible to have an imaginative outlet again, and pumped 70 hours into that game in a week (from nothing).

Other than that, the original Shogun Total War changed my gaming habits. I was (and still am!) sick of the slowness of tabletop wargaming. I purchased the helpguide and was immersed for many months before I could afford a PC to play the game itself. Happy days.
