Looks interesting and shows promise. Its sort of like alien breed but in urban environments and a barricade system that's actually interesting.

We'll keep an eye on this one.

    HOWEVER.
Zombies, ok, even I am getting a bit sick of them now.
What about a bunny apocalypse. You know, rabbits finally realise that with their claws, teeth, excellent hearing and powerful kick, that the world is really ripe for the taking.
Extra strategic dimensions (bunnies can burrow under or hop over obstacles).
Heart still set on zombies....what about....ZOMBIE BUNNIES!!!!!
Must.... Not.... Make.... Monty..... Python.... Joke.....

It looks good but to what extent will the barriers have on gameplay. Will physics be introduced to let players use them more creatively or will you be able to attack zombies by dropping a load of scrap on them for example?

You know the thing is that yes zombie survival game is like a cliche now, but so far I don't think anyone has actually made a good zombie survival game. DayZ is a terribly buggy mod. WarZ... garbage. Left 4 Dead and Dead Island are really just FPS games that happen to have zombies, not really survival games. Other zombie games aren't out yet so we don't know if they will suck or not -- State of Decay, Project Zomboid, Fortnite. Did I forget any?

My point is that even with the flood of zombie survival games we've had I think there's still room for more until someone does it right.

Dead State, BlOpsII, Dead Matter, DeadLight, Project Zomboid,

well, I guess being a real time 3rd person isometric zombie indie separates it from the turn-based but otherwise-identical Zomboid and (I think) Dead State (which might turn out to be real time). BlOpsII zombies are a considerably more focused and gamified version of the OP. DeadLight is the only game I know that tried to use zombies in a narrative. And Dead Matter wants to make a PvP-less DayZ in Cryengine3 because some people like shiny things with no substance.

Whatever happened to Project Zomboid? I had such high hopes for it, but they were all for naught it seems.

There are tonnes of zombie games but a very small minority are the type I like the best. the ones like Dayz and Project Zombiod with an emphasis on gathering supplies and generally trying to survive compared to say a zombie shooting gallery which most of them are. (I really like Left 4 Dead though)

This project looks interesting and will be one I will follow. Hopefully it can be an actual zombie survival game which has a purpose
