Default What Movies/Shows are you watching?

Just wondering what movies and tv shows everyone is watching. Thought this would be a good way to learn about new movies or shows from everyone here.

Recently i watched The Wave. A German movie that entertains the idea of Germany ever falling under another dictatorship. Its a wonderful movie and highly recommended by me.

As far as tv shows, i just recently tried watching Banshee, a new show from Cinemax about an ex-con that steals a dead man's identity to become the sheriff of a town in Pennsylvania. Watched the first episode but found it to be a bit boring. doubt i'll watch any future episodes of it.

Watching a lot of Breaking Bad.

Also classic films that I have missed. The last two were Silence of then Lambs and Trainspotting.

Rewatching the Wire with a friend - remains the most impressive creation I've seen on TV or in a cinema.
The new season of Archer is 10 days old and already brilliant.
Utopia has been a welcome surprise, I shall celebrate every Tuesday as if christmas had come again.
Looking forward to Game of Thrones recommencing at the end of March.

Recently caught the Hobbit, thought it wasn't as good as TLotR and kinda want to see it in 24Hz 2D because not impressed by not-quite-real 3D projections and 48fps was disappointingly shiny.
Otherwise the last movie I saw that's worth mentioning is Moonrise Kingdom, which touched me.

Seen it twice, thought much the same. Promising first film of the trilogy, but not quite up to the standards of LotR. Interesting first venture into HFRs, but overall it didn't work. I just hope 24p still retains it's cinematic quality when it's been conformed.

Re-watched Hero today to test my Lovefilm connection. I've always had to endure loads of pauses while the stream buffers on my macbook, which has put me off the service. But today despite using the exact same connection I was able to stream the HD version (though I don't think it was entirely HD) completely uninterrupted on my PC. Weird.

Hero good. Make me pretend Chinese. Haro please. Bing bong ching chong.

Just went to go see Gangster Squad. Its a really good movie, would recommend it if you like films similar like Goodfellas or godfather.
