    as for what browser loses the text, if I hit back and using quick reply the text goes, if I press back and using the full post window it stays.

    Seriously, as you become more dependent on online advertising and not subscribers to the mag (Dragon age II and Diablo III have really fucked your credibility) you should make sure that your online presence actually works.
