Well it's finally sorted and my experience should be a 'warning' for all who use Key sites. Timeline is as follows for cheapgamekey.com -
21:21 - Bought key (via paypal)
21:38 - key arrives in my email
23:00 - downloaded and installed AC3 from a link on their site
23:01 - 'key has been used by another account' or words to that effect, from UbiPlay
23:20 - chat to online rep from cgk.com, apologises, then asks me to wait while
they contact their 'supplier'*
*I assume they mean open another box.
21:00 - chat again with rep, given a torrent link via chat to download, I say 'sigh,
yes, ok' download torrent, install game same message from UbiPlay.
23:01 - talk to rep again say either pony up with a working key or gimme a refund
14:52 - emailed new key and it works, have spent the last two hours playing AC3 and I like it.
TBH the online chat was almost instantaneous and they were most apologetic all the way though, maybe they just had a bad day at the office.
I got Ass Creed 3 for £18 and a bit of hassle, I didn't feel that put out but if you reckon you'd be pulling your hair out then maybe key sites are not for you.
"...people who personify and love corporations to the point where they can actually feel betrayed by them - well, roll over and take it. You're in for a lifetime of abusive imaginary relationships."
