I finally hit the wall I think.
Bloody frost elites which then decide it will be fun to set fire to the ground I'm standing on.
Surely it would melt me free lol

    Cool

I just finished ACT I on nightmare and the thing I have learned is to kite, kite and kite some more. As a wizard I get smacked hard all the time but most hard adds have a "tell" when to run.

To paraphrase Blizzard: "If you're dying a lot, you haven't grinded (ground? I dunno...) the previous difficulty levels bosses enough."

I did Nightmare Baliel last night then immediately did Public NM Baliel and got a couple of good runs in before I had a crap group which I left. I think I'll do that before starting the next level.

Its weird, I got to act 4 nightmare and wiped loads on the first "boss" then everything after that so far has been easier.
Not quite got to Diablo yet though.

Diablo, believe it or not, it a lot easier on solo than co-op. Which for bosses is a bit backwards. This is just my opinion but I will say I had the massive healing monk build up.

I've found that most boss fights I switch to a healing setup on my witch-doctor.
Tried Diablo normal (yeah, taking it slow ) last night and got to the second phase and could not keep myself alive as I had not changed to my healing setup. It's nice that you have such options.

Tbh I've not had a problem with ANY of the bosses whatsoever other than that first one on Act 4 nightmare cos I was getting swarmed by the little black ghosty things.
I just changed my build a couple of times and nuked the hell out of him before I was overwhelmed lol

    Question

It looks like I have hit a wall with Inferno Act II. I am half way through ACT II but it's been a bit of a slog and now I've decided it's not worth going further without better gear.

I have 30K DPS and 32K Health with resitances around 250 and I think I'm going to need 40-45K DPS and 500+ resistances to progress. The only gear upgrades on AH are massively expensive (in the millions) and I only have 500K gold.

Inferno Act I is a face roll even the elite packs. I can do SK and Butcher with 5 stacks of the Magic Find buff. Yesturday I must had done about 10 boss runs and did not get 1 upgrade.

Any suggestions or am I doomed to a RNG gear grind?
