Talking Looking for 5 Mans - Team Noob

First off, a bit of background.
I was chatting with Varna in guild tonight, and we were talking about how naturally those who raid together seem to do their dungeon runs together too.
We weren't feeling bad about this, rather we were feeling that some of us noobs want to see some dungeons and are either a bit shy, a bit noobish or have weird schedules.

To that end, We said we'd stick up a notice, and see could we get some interest in a semi-casual 5 man team with rotating rosters.
We'd probably start with normals, and work along.

Obviously we can't all guarantee times like the lads in Win and Awesome can, so there wouldn't be pressure to turn up every night.

Throw your name down if you have some interest!

This is ideally aimed at those of you that simply feel intimidated or nervous about trying dungeon runs. You've maybe geared a healer or tank to the best you can do via PVE, but worry about getting into a grp and looking like a noob.
You aren't the only person thinking the same thing. I only recently started tanking normals but have had my tank geared for a long time, I just didn't want to appear like a total nugget. I don't now all the bosses or tactics and probably never will.
That's why those of you who want to try this type of content should step up and let us know so we can avoid the dreaded pugs.
I work away so my connection doesn't let me run instances to good. Whenl I'm back home again hopefully I'll be able to practise my tanking and even maybe have a go at healing on my druid (something I've only done via PVP).

No pressure, no rush, its about learning to do it and gaining some confidence and having some fun.

I'd also like to point out a few things.
We've all got alts. If you have never healed or tanked and have a toon that is leveled near, bring it!

For instance, currently in PCG I have:
    - Karbin - Level 85 Enhancement Shaman
    - Karban - Level 81 Frost Death Knight
    - Ceili - Level 70 Retribution Paladin
I've 2 toons in swarm. One is late 30's one is early teens. Hunter and Warrior respectively.

So, we can cover pretty much all level ranges and dungeons.

So if your shy, don't want to pug, or appear to be too noob or even can't play regularly, post your toons here and we'll all try to get some runs in!

    Default Noobs unite

    Hi

Sign my lvl85 mage Charllii up for noob runs cos i really need the practice.
Have only ever done random norms.
I work shifts and on call during some evenings so will be able to join a group on an ad hoc basis.

Other horde alts in a different guild are:

    Charrlli lvl81 priest shadow
    Charlii lvl57 warlock

Other Alliance alts all in Dark Knights Reborn guild are:

    Gorrdy lvl85 Pally
    Horrdy lvl85 Death knight
    Charrli lvl85 Hunter
    Charlli lvl85 Mage
    Charrlii lvl81 Rogue
    Charrlii lvl47 Druid
    Chaarli lvl40 Shaman

Yes, the names do get quite confusing.

    Cheers and for the horde/alliance!

    Hi,

Sounds exactly what I am looking for.
Have a lvl 85 retribution pally and a lvl 33 rogue (levelling).
I have no raiding experience but willing to learn.
    Only night I can't do is Tuesday's.

    Cheers

    Wink

The idea is to have runs when we have people on. I think taking it handy and not overly worrying about achieves is a good way. Of course, gearing and experience in dungeons are helpful too!

Gof, we'll not turn down any experience we can utilize!

Also, I reckon we can get lots of adhoc leveling dungeons going too, at level.
And, if needed we can steam roll it.

I like the way this is going.....

The "need" is there by the looks of things. I so wish I wasn't offshore right now so I could get involved quicker. I am happy to try give advice to any1 if I can, feel free to whisper me. We also have some very experienced players who we can seek advice from.

Sure it will benefit them also as we may be able to stock their ranks with some new raiders or "seconds" one day. Or just fresh meat !

I like the idea of running non-85 dungeons also, but we should look primarily at learning and gearing at 85, its only then when you really have a good understanding of your class and more importantly your role in 5 man.

We are looking to give you that confidence to jump into content that you have been hiding from.

    Don't be shy !

So we had our first run tonight.
    We had:
    Karbin -Enhance Shammy
    Spottywot- Anig's Tank Pally
    Zórk - Dps Warrior
Waxoff - hunter, joined us for HoO

We did 2 dungeons, pugged the heals and missing deeps.
First up was Lost City, where Anig ran like the wind and tanked like a Blood Elf Pally Boss.

Next up was Hall of Origination, where we picked up Waxy. Somehow we got half way with 1 healer. Who dropped after 1 boss. Next healer got as far as the doors of the Vault of Lights.

After possibly the shortest wait (lol) we got our pally healer and we bounced through the rest.

Only deaths were myself to a trash pack and someone else. I ressed and no one batted an eyelid.

Overall, as Anig knew his way around w did OK.

Definitely whetted my appitite for more, so I'm going to bug people even more now!
