    No worries guys- i like to ramble.

    term- thanks for the update. those skills are extra usefull if you want to fly the megathron- which is an awesome sniper ship.

    Reckon we've got the start of a good little community here.

    On that subject, can anyone reccomend a good, USB, headset and mike? preferably under £30. As we're blatantly going to have to use teamspeak or vent or something to coordinate the roams we'll be doing,.

    Only headset i'll ever recommend. They are the bees knees. had mine 5 years now and the sound quality and robustness is fantastic. crisp, clear, surround sound with built in soundcard. cant go wrong. only thing is they cost a bit. but i say a tenner a year for my cans is pretty good value.

    Can't emphasis the fitting and capacitor skills enough.

    Ones you want to level 5 early:

    Engineering - Gives you more power grid.
    Electronics - Ditto for CPU.
    Energy Systems Operation - Faster cap recharge.

    These 3 are important and don't take long to train. Others (in my order of priority):

    Energy Management - More cap, train to 4 at least. You'll want 5 at some point.
    Weapon Upgrades - Less CPU use for weapons.
    Energy Grid Upgrades - Allows you to fit Reactor Control Units (increase power grid), but don't rely too much on these.
    Electronics Upgrades - Allows you to fit Co-Processors (increase CPU).
    Advanced Weapon Upgrades - Needs Weapon Upgrades 5, reduced power grid use for weapons.

    These skills apply to any race, many of them are required for more advanced ships, and they are very important if you want to get the most out of your ships.

    As a sidenote for anyone who wants to PvP, don't leave it too long to get T2 guns. They give you access to the T2 long range ammo, which is very, very good.

    A quick note on Advanced Weapon Upgrades - that only affects weapons which require AWU trained to use, IIRC, so not a priority until then.

    No, it affects all weapons. I only put it lower priority because it takes the longest to train out of all the fitting skills.

    Really? Hm, fair enough. I can't check atm what with the extended downtime, but you're probably right.
