At least I can say this: It's Team Fortress 2 meets Mirror's Edge, with all the gun porn of any modern shooter, doubled.
Oh, and unlocking guns etc. is all done through challenges, which in my humble opinion, is much better. You complete challenges, which are tough, but not unbeatable, and get your guns/addons from that. Leveling unlocks additional abilities, and cosmetic related items. It just seems nice that I don't need to sink 40-50 hours to get the guns to compete with everyone. And the challenges all have real application in the game. A parkour course, hold the area, advancing one of the robots, and an objective "jungle gym." Essentially, they're training missions that give you the tools to grasp the game much quicker than just playing.
I have to say, I like it, but I can't decide whether it's what I wanted or not.
Oh, and it is still something that Bethesda has touched. Expect a few glitches/bugs.
