    Default Battlefield: Heroes

An ex fan of CoD1 and TF2 I've been won over by BFH. Hilarious cartoon shooter that tests consistent aim, teamwork and tactics. What's more is it's free.
It was Heroes that got me into PCG with it's Rippin' Rocket promotion and for that I'm eternally grateful to the game.

I was delighted to see PCG has a BFH server... However, nothing is perfect. Battlefield Heroes uses a matchmaking system that slots you into a server for your skill combined with the ability to bookmark favourite servers. No server list.
Thus knowing the Server IP and port is useless. You instead need a bookmark link given by the server host to the server admin.

With a bit of Shmyealock Holmes detectiveness I managed to locate the bookmark link for the PCG BFH server.

It's currently named 'Marmite Rocks!' by a fellow called Rovert... Dunno if he's connected to PCG or if PCG were given his old server and haven't gotten round to changing the name.

If you don't have Heroes (and there's no reason why you shouldn't, it's free.. and imo better than TF2 (haters gonna hate)) then it's definitely worth a go:

It's a referral link but I already have more VP than I can shake a stick at. It just means you get a free XP boost at level 7 and will add me as a friend so I can come help you out.

Here is the bookmark link if you already have/have just got heroes:

Join PCG's home team, the Royals. PC Zone are the nationals...

Hopefully we'll be able to get some events going and have a bit of fun.

Let me know if you're interested. I play this game far too much so I know it inside out and will be happy to get you started on the class of your choice.

BFH better than TF2? Haters gonna hate? Can I have some of what you're smoking?

Just joking. About the smoking part at least...

Meh, it's a matter of opinion but for me I prefer slower game play that rewards consistent aim. I still love TF2 but there are certain niggles about it that make me prefer Heroes.
Probably also because as one of the top rated players on Heroes I don't tend to lose much... 'Noob' is such a harsh word but I can't quite make the same dent on TF2

Heroes certainly has its flaws. It's still in Beta testing but it's free2play and you can sit on the wing of a plane...
Once it's fully fledged and the dev team pulls their finger out it'll be a formidable rival of TF2. Mark mai words.

It's been out of closed beta for almost a year.

    It's still in Open Beta.
