    OKay, got the mobo and cpu, waiting on the ram. Do I need thermal paste and a cooler? I'm not going to OC at this point.

    how much you paid for all of this(gpu cpu mobo ram)? if you wanted to buya new pc you could have waited few more months for release of valve gaming pc steam machine that will be cheap and small and come with a gaming controller. something like this [url]http://www.theverge.com/2013/11/25/5146398/ibuypower-steam-machine-499-radeon-r9-270[/url]

    If you went with the non-K i5 then serious overclocking wont be possible anyway. If you bought the retail version of your processor then it would come with a stock Intel cooler, which has thermal paste pre-applied. They are okay, but for $30 you can get a Cooler master Hyper/EVO 212 cooler which is much better in the long run at keeping your processor cooler, regardless if overclocking or not . And they come with a tube of thermal paste that you apply yourself.

    CPU + GPU + MOBO + RAM = ~ $800 after taxes.
