Talking Recommend me a gaming keyboard of 2013!

Hi, I'm new to the forum and wish to have some recommendations for a new gaming keyboard. I currently have a Logitech G510 and I use the G Keys frequently. This keyboard is absolutely amazing with its LCD screen and backlit keys, however it's starting to die out (Both windows keys have stopped working and the backlight is too dark).

Can someone recommend me a keyboard, up-to-date with 2013 and with a brighter backlight, also with relevant (and more if possible) features to the G510? Budget is not a problem!

    Many thanks

Do you really need the LCD screen? There aren't any mechanical boards with it.

Not really. But what's the benefit of using a mechanical keyboard?

I was looking into the G19 I fair while ago. My main problem with the G510 is that the backlights on the keys are not bright enough, in my opinion. I've heard some people have received keyboards that are brighter than others.

In a short question, does the G19 have brighter backlights than the G510?

it's brighter than the G15 was but you can also make it darker it all depends how you setup the colour of the backlight, never had a G510 to compare it to, it possibly is brighter tho as the screen, backlight and USB ports on it run off the mains.

Good point. Well I had a look at some reviews on the G19 but apparently it's pretty bad compared to G510. Like it has key buffer very frequently and lots of other problems. Has Logitch fixed these issues to this date? Or should I wait for the new versions of the G510s and G19s like you said before?

Mechanical keyboards feel much better than normal keyboards. They also have NKRO unlike rubber domes. After you use a mechanical keyboard, you really wouldn't want go back to rubber dome boards.

to be fair the new versions are out in early april so they will only be a week or 2 away so it's worth waiting.

but I've never had a problem with the G19 it's been really responsive all the time I've had it.

@Tr I went back to rubber domes
