Post EveMon

This is an excellent program for planning your skills and monitoring your skill queue. You will need to get a "EVE API Key" to do that go here:

This allows EveMon to get information about your character. It is read only access so you cannot modify skills or other things, these have to be done in game.

Once you have added your character you can click on their name and see your current skill and your current skill queue. If you use the "Full Access" key you can also monitor you buy/sell orders in the Market and manufacturing/researching in Industry.

Now to plan a career...

Click "Plans" menu and then "New". Give your Plan a name. In this example I am going to plan to fly a "Destroyer".

You now have a new window open with tabs for "Plan Queue", "Skill browser", "Certificates", "Ship browser", "Item browser", "Blueprint browser".

Click on Ship browser and you can see all available ships. Go to "Destroyers", "Gallente" then "Catalyst". This now shows all the information about that ship. In the bottom right are the skills required to fly the ship, click "Add All to Plan".

Now go to the "Plan Queue" Oh NO it's empty.. press F5 to refresh the page . Now go back to the "Ship browser" to the "Catalyst" and you will see "Recommended Certificates". Click "Add All to Plan".

This is a nice feature that shows you the recommended skills to have when flying this ship because just having the skills to fly the ship is not enough to survive. This includes skills on armour, shields, turrets and electronics.

Now back to the "Plan Queue"... press F5 to see all the skills you need to be a great "Destroyer" pilot. At the bottom it will show the total time the skills will take to train. You will see a "Suggestion..." link at the bottom, click it and it will suggest some "Learning" skills that would make the total time be lower. You can add these to train faster.

In the "Plan Queue" you can drag and drop skills around, delete them or re-order. I like to re0order by "Training Time" so I can stack up my skill queue with the shortest time skills.

The recently released Industrial-sized KnowledgeBase version 2 has a ton of info about most of the different professions in Eve, as well as a good newbie guide. Written in kind-of-broken English, but understandable.

Download below: it's a 66MB PDF, 416 pages long

Default Most useful eve sites

The most comprehensive eve information site, contains all agents and there types and locations.
All NPC types with damage resistances and damage output.
All Ship data
All Officer NPC types and data
Agent Division mission distribution data
Most if not all mission DB + guides
All Cosmos mission locations standing requirements reward types and division types
Ore refine cost tables
Ice refine cost tables
Rig production from salvage materials tables

Essential tool, a cynosural jump navigation utility, used for plotting routes for ships that have jump drives. One of the only tools to do so. there is no equivalent tool inside the client.

A cache-all page for the eve online forums, any post ever made even if it is deleted or moderated is listed here, and it has a very good search function (unlike the actually eve online forums search function)

Home page for EVEMon a 3rd party API application that allows you to track your skill training marker orders and skill queue data from outside the client, also allows you to form skill plans toward a specific ship or item and optimise training order for minimum time. Also calculates most efficient distribution of attributes and implant types to maximise training speed.

Eve server status monitor utility, lists server version code branch and concurrent users.

DotLan eve maps , dynamic eve universe map showing sovereignty changes , stations, npc types, asteroid belts, ice belts , station service types (what services a station in that system has) True security class (not sec status but sec class, this determines the value and strength of npc's and the rarity of ore in the system) all minerals available from the belts in the system, number of stargete jumps in system in past 48 hrs , number of npc kills in system for past 48 hrs , number of player ship kills in past 48 hrs and number of pod kills in the past 48 hrs. Also lists all moons in the system and where possible the mine-able moon materials of each moon.

Free eve related fle hosting and management. use for uploading screenshots pdf's and all kinds of goodies, you can find almost anything you would want regarding eve there. and all free and no registration required.

I will update as and when i find/remember others

i have found that eve hq is better for fittings than eft it also with full api can show you how much minerals are required for the manufacture of things and it also has easer fitting skill adjustments both up or down not just no skills all l5 or your skills from api
it can b found at http://www.evehq.net/index.html it also has a skill planing section as well although I personally still use eve mon for that

Default Eve Uni question

I had a look on Eve University classes last night and find them very helpful.

It is nice to see that they are available for non uni members.

However, can someone tell me how Eve Uni is handled. Are students enrolled in Eve Uni for forums, online classes, graduations, etc members of the Eve Uni Corp for the time of study???

I like the idea but definetily do not want to leave PCGE for doing this. .

In that case I just stick with downloading some classes.
