    Default Desslock will be missed!

I just got my PC Gamer in the mail (no, I don't check my mail often) and read Desslock's last article...

Let me tell you, I don't write anything online. I use forums to search for help on bugs so I can fix them to get back into my game. I have been an RPG fan since I was 11 (more than 20 years ago), and Desslock (Stefan Janicki) has been there for most of that time. Desslock, I thank you for your insight, wit, humor, and honesty when others were not. I pray for your life to be even more blessed, and that an RPG soon graces us both with "the virtual world experience of Skyrim, the combat system of Dark Souls, the wit and moral nuance of Obsidian games like Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer, the adult content and gritty lore of Witcher 2, and the well-written character interactions and narrative of Mass Effect 3."

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, and hopefully see you again soon.

I just picked up my issue today and when I saw his second paragraph began with, "This is my last PC Gamer column," I wanted to shout, "Nooo!" like Darth Vader. Chalk up yet another PC Gamer veteran riding off into the sunset. Andy Mahood is essentially the last remaining "old vet."

    Default Why is he leaving?

His column was the first thing I read every month and he will be missed.

    Happy trails Desslock.

Future has unwisely scrapped all columns in the magazine and get's nearly all the articles I see from the UK boys. The one thing that kept me subscribing, the columns are now gone. There is little reason to subscribe to the magazine now since nearly everything now is posted on the site around the same time my magazine gets in the mail.

Massive fail on Future's part in my opinion. Could be the magazine can't stay afloat as it is though, with print supposedly in trouble across the board.

Another legacy of my youth is slowly dying away. So sad.

Yup...latest magazine doesn't have anything from Manhood or the 2 moves ahead guy or the Dev Man talking.

That didn't go over well the last time they canned the columns

Sounds like another case of new management shaking things up to make a new name for themselves. May be wrong.
