you can play Void Destroyer now for free ( although the graphics don't look as nice in the current version) , there's a link to it earlier in this thread.

I somehow missed this, Kenshi recieved a fairly substantial update a couple of weeks ago, it now has a nice foliage system.

I've been playing this quite a bit, the initial release was too buggy for me to play but it's shaping up quite nicely now.

time to necro this old thread again, this time for kickstarter project Bionite: Origins, the creators are attempting to make a spiritual successor to the Battlezone series using the U3 engine.

personally I think their work looks a bit too derivative, but I wish them all the best, the world needs more action strat titles like this.

Once again Lizard, nice find. It'll be an interesting project to keep an eye on.

it's surprising just how many cool little projects there are out there, it's just a matter of finding them.

In one of the Void Destoyer videos there was no sound, Is this a space game where sound does not propogate through a vacuum or was there just no sound in the video?

There are so many interesting indie games being made at the moment.

and while we're on the subject of racing games TrackVerse (previously known as Project Aftershock) is worth a look, it features customisable gameplay and tracks.

and thirdly, iteration 12 of the Void Destroyer alpha has just been released, you can download and try it for free here :

it does have sound now by the way ( I'm not sure if it did in the previous build or not), so don't let the trailer videos fool you .

    here's a couple of screenies :
