Default Need Help Building a Custom PC

Hello! I've recently been trying to get into Let's Playing. (recording gameplay with commentary) Unfortunately though, I'm using two sub-par laptops. One of these gets laggy playing even a Nintendo 64 emulator and the other is just generally slow in everything. Like, really slow. I'd like to upgrade to a desktop that will support my needs. Obviously, I'd need to be able to play the games. There's also video editing and such involved. However, I'm trying not to get something super pricy. I'm planning on playing older games, particularly Zelda, although I'm hoping for something that can run Minecraft and Amnesia well. It would be really helpful if any of you could help me out with finding the right hardware and such to fulfill my needs. I'd be really greatful.

Do you have a rough budget?

Not super rough. I think with a few months/years' work I could get up a few hundred dollars. I think around 500 would be my max

$491. This is the cheapest build I could put together and keep a straight face. Should still be able to play anything at 1920x1080 at very decent graphics settings. Not a lot of upgrade potential though.

Thank you, it really helps. I don't really know much about any of the actual hardware stuff so I appreciate the help.
