    Default The Bounty Hunter

So... I've rolled yet another character, swapping from the Republic to the Sith... and I think I've found my home! I'm proper enjoying the Bounty Hunter. I'm pretty much Neutral at the moment, suprisingly, with the attitude of Credits means everything, but my loyalties to my employer stand for the job.

If I'm told to go kill someone, that person dies, even if they are a good guy or not. Nothing will sway me from that goal. I like that attitude... I even apologise to people when I think I'm doing a bad thing. In the starting zone, I have to give someones head to someone else, so I did, and then said "This was a bad thing I did... I'm sorry" and truely meant it. lol

Anyways. I've gone Mercenary for the pew pew dual weilding. But I'm torn over my crafting skills.

Should I go Armourtech and look like a tank, or Armstech and have the best craftable weapons? Or forget both and go for Cybertech? I wanted slicing too, but I might save that for the ImpAge.

At the moment I've gone Armourtech, but as I'm not Powertech, I think it's a waste (I am planning on rolling a Powertech in the future so i can have a giant walking man tank).

I've been rolling a Powertech alt lately and I've gone Cybertech. Which is pretty useful, Mako's pretty handy at Cybertech and Slicing, it lets you craft mods and armourings, which means you dont spend all your commendations on them. Plus those are useful for all possible characters, so you can easily mail them to your other alts.

Either Armstech or Armourmech carries the benefit that all your companions use tech weapons and armour, unlike Jedi characters who sometimes have a mix. Armstech might be the most useful if you plan to ever use your melee companions, as techblade/techstaff weapons are currently in short supply, so being able to craft your own is really handy.

Armormech and Synthweaving are probably the best leveling craft skills because of the larger number of slots you can craft for with them. In addition I as an Armormech have had numerous purple schematics drop in operations and HM flashpoints, where in comparison Artifice and Armstech are all but useless at level 50.

Well... Armourtech was calling me, as was Powertech, so I rerolled a new Bounty Hunter. And I must say, I think Powertech is way better than Mercenary. You take way more of a beating (obviously) but I tend to take mobs down alot faster... and I don't even need Mako around! (She's too busy getting a back hand from me to sell junk, and to get my Underworld Trade up)

And! I like how the Powertech tanks. I didn't think using Flamethrower and Flame Blast would be useful, but it rocks for agro! And I just got my Ion Canister too! GOOD TIMES!

Although, I now have a silly visor helmet. But at least I sound more like Snake than ever before.

A quick note on Merc dps: If you're expecting it to be awe-inspiring before level 20 at the earliest, more like level 30, you're a little over excited. Like the Marauder's Annihilation and Carnage trees Merc's Arsenal tree is very dependent on high level talents, in particular everything related to Tracer Missile. Until you have those talents and the ability itself the class will seem underwhelming to say the least.
