Default The only Builds I'm allowed until I make plat

So this post is as much for me to drop into between ladder matches and focus on as anything else, but I'm making it public because I am nooby and I want feedback from everyone willing to give it. And if you want to give yourself a similar regime and make it availible you can do so here and we can be better gamers

I'm doing this one build per matchup focus because I've been doing so much stupid shit recently - Two rax stimmed marauder in TvT, Three rax stim push in both TvP and TvZ, and marine tank pushes across the board - and I want to come back to EU ladder with a tighter, more correct style of play

    Rules of Engagement

    - Always begin to build natural CC by 6 minutes, ideal have it finished by then
    - Always begin third by 13 minutes
    - Always have +1 attack for key units begun by 10 minutes
    - Scout like a boss - if there's a xel naga, take it
    - Drop more, push with the whole army less
    - Always have at least 1 Rax, 1 Fact and 1 Starport by 10 minutes
    - Continue to be boss at never being supply blocked and general macro
    - Stop being retarded at micro
    - Third is always orbital and never planetary
    - Can never have enough production structures after 15 minutes
    - Sensor towers are imba as fuck
    - Force people to watch your losses with you, listen to them
    - Always GG the cheesiest cheese
    - Remember that Goody is GM with 60 APM, so your 45-50 is not far off
    - ALWAYS WATCH YOUR ARMY
    - ???
    - Profit

    TvT

    - Build is always and only marine tank medivac
    - Second mule is always a scan
    - As soon as starport finishes, get a viking
    - Protect from drops using turrets
    - Aim to have begun the Sky Terran transition by 20 minutes - that means upgrades and starports
    - Boss the skies with vikings, so you can transition safely and drop marines onto his siege tanks
    - Drop him like a beast - simultaneously - if on 200/200 build starports and sac one drop every minute while immediately remaxing on Vikings and Battle Cruisers (and the odd raven)

    TvZ
    - Build is always and only mech - marines are allowed early game, but their production finishes once I have thor and turret saturation (goal: no marines after 15 minutes)
    - Goal is 1 rax and 1 reactor hellion fact, one siege tank fact and one Thor fact by 10 minutes, starport can wait for the third
    - Once third is up begin reactored viking production
    - Siege mode before bru frame
    - Have a handful of harass hellions throughout the game
    - Never stop SCV production - repair is better than rebuilding with mech
    - Have ebay by ten minutes
    - If hellion harass is keeping him held back then 3rd goes down before 10 mins

    TvP
    - Build is always and only MMMVG
    - Fast upgrades
    - Ghosts by 15 minutes
    - Vikings by 13 mins - assume colloss
    - Expect to be cut up by FFs and Storm - make every engage about the running the fuck away
    - Periodically scan army
    - Ghosts get own control group

Fantastic idea. Just make sure you don't get into the habit of talking about playing loads, but only playing like 2 games a day :P

Really good idea! I think focusing on just one build per match up as this really helps you fine tune every aspect of your game. At levels below diamond I think the most important thing is how you execute the basics (like spending your money and not getting supply blocked etc.). I think I should try doing something like this myself where I sit down and really hammer out the exact things i want to do!

This is already helping me out - I played five games tonight against this diamond chap Sure, two TvZ and three TvP - in the one TvZ where I pulled off the plan (in the first I thought he was playing protoss ) I crushed him
and again, in the first two TvPs I was well ahead, and though the turret was thirty seconds late against the DTs I had a feeling were coming in the first game, in the second I rolled him
unfortunately the third game saw me get ruined and tilting against a D-bag probe harassing my building SCVs, I dropped off the plan and went into a super late marine tank push, lost that game by a mile

so yeah, anyone who's bumbing aroung in gold will probably get a mega boost from this kind of focus, turns out Day9 was right

Good stuff, I did something similar when I tried to improve, basically forcing myself to do only one build per matchup and stick to a set of expansion timings.

I'll give some advice on points but be aware I haven't played in a bajillion years and am working off out of date knowledge so take this with a fist of salt.

Can't tell you how frustrating it is as a zerg for a terran (or protoss) to force me off x'naga towers, keep doing this all the time.

Good, but I'd also say feign a lot of attacks with the whole army, but without committing. Has it's own dangers admittedly, but I think most races need to do this more.

On the minimap? I thought the advice was to stop watching battles so much and focus on macro and general awareness.

Also for your TvZ, if they're going heavy mutas, always get the structural upgrade, or whatever it is that improves the HP of turrets. This is a pain in the ass as zerg.

I've not been watching the army while I move in, and it's cost me games where I needed to kite, or spread, or just cancel the drop or w/e
