Default Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers

Well it is due out in just under 24 hours. I have pre-ordered (or pre-purchased even as this is Steam).

Who else has got it/is going to get it and is anyone interested in setting up a forum tournament a week or so in when we* have got the hang of it?

*those of us who don't play Magic: The Gathering Online or play in real life that is.

Sure. I'd be up for that.

    A pro-tip!
We can stop the constant microphone broadcasting which at first seems to be a left over from the 360 version.
However, this isn't entirely true. Seems the game just uses our Steam voice setings; which for many of us who have never bothered to fiddle around with them, default on automatcially transmit.
    So...
While in game, open your Steam overlay; Settings; Voice; and switch to use push to talk!

I think what we need to do is point the j-server people who bought the game over here as well. Then we can get enough people together for a decent tournament.

I see you have already done this Qazi , good job as I had completely forgotten!

Tourney could be fun. Will need to unlock some more stuff first, though, and I'm not about the first two weeks of July, which would make games during that time a little difficult

Does anyone know if the region locking will stop us inviting people from other regions to our lobbies? As it stands I believe that the only lobbies that show up when you search are from people with the same download region as you. As a work around we could just make sure we set them to the same for matches but it would be nice if invites worked around that... Or if they just removed the region lock.

Also what format do you think would be good for matches? I just played best two out of three with x25killa but I understand Magic is normally played over five rounds.

Me. Can't be bothered with more steam groups, just come into PCG chat or PM people.

I was thinking of somewhere to keep scores and the like as well. But I guess this thread will do fine for that.
