New World of Warcraft community site has launched
The revamped World of Warcraft Community site has launched, offering players a place to manage their auctions, get the latest Guild news and browse the armoury without having to log in to the game itself. There’s a shiny new beginners section for new players and plans to add a 3D model viewer in the future. You’ll find a a list of the site’s features below.

Fight fires and save lives in the Emergency 2012 demo
Emergency 2012 puts you in charge of the emergency services in a series of international disaster scenarios. It’s up to you to equip and upgrade your emergency response force, commanding the police, fire fighters and rescue workers in the face of a number of different disasters. A demo has just been released for the game offering a tutorial and two missions: Cologne Cathedral as it’s hit by a hurricane, and a devastating landslide on Mount Matterhorn. Gary Grigsby’s War in the East out soon, manual excerpts released
The Gary Grigsby series of turn based strategy games has always provided intense and detailed simulations of major conflicts in modern history, and the latest entry in the series will be no different. This time Grigsby has relocated the action to the hexy tundra of the Eastern Front, focusing on the German-Soviet War of 1941-1945. An entire chapter of the manual has been released for the game, giving us an advanced look at how troop management will work. Read on for details.

Games for Windows Marketplace selling a game a day for 99 cents
From now until Wednesday next week, the relaunched Games for Windows Marketplace will sell a different game every day for just 99 cents/75p. Today’s deal is on Deus Ex, but you’ll have to catch it quick before it’s replaced by another game in about an hour. There’s also a great weekly deal on the site selling the the brilliant puzzler, World of Goo for $5 / £3.75. A great price for a great game.
“We didn’t start the fire”: Stormwind Edition
A guild has put together an amazing music video for Billy Joel’s We Didn’t Light the Fire in World of Warcraft. The video races through the streets as passers by say each line from the song. It took a week of practice to choreograph, but the resulting video made the effort worthwhile. You’ll find it embedded below.

Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime announced
Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters! But not the Ghostbusters you remember from the movies and the 2009, Ghostbusters: The Video Game, from Terminal Reality. Atari has announced via USA Today that the sequel Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime, will not be featuring any voice work from the original cast and will be developed by Wanako.
Now featuring a four-player co-op mode, friends can cross their proton pack streams as they battle new gigantic bosses. Expect it Spring 2011 as a digital release.
First Back to the Future trailer has arrived, Doc is in trouble
The first trailer for the upcoming Back to the Future adventure games has arrived. Marty McFly is alone in the present, and money men are looking to sell off Doc’s lab. The time travelling DeLorean reappears in the nick of time and McFly sets off to find the Doc. As well as giving us a look at the game’s clean faced graphical style, the trailer also reveals the titles of each of the five episodes. You’ll find the video embedded below
Team Fortress 2 launches public beta
Valve’s department of mad scientists have decided that they need more guinea pigs on which to test their insane schemes, and have decided to launch a Team Fortress 2 public beta. The beta will play host to massive game changing experiments and will let Valve test out new tech without breaking Team Fortress 2 proper. Darkspore co-op trailer features team tactics and magma monsters
The latest Darkspore trailer gives us an advanced look at the four player co-op mode. In Darkspore each player can control a different class of creature, and can mutate and evolve their monster to make them more devastating in combat. In co-op, these abilities can be combined to lay waste to hordes of mutant Darkspore creatures. The video features plenty of mutant xenos getting space-blasted and a giant angry magma boss creature tearing up the landscape, you’ll find it embedded below.
