Many sectors will suffer attacks from huge fleets of the invading aliens, and it’ll be up to Eve Online’s players to fight back against the invading menace. The Sansha are the subject of an epic new trailer, full of scenes of incredi-space pew-pew that Eve does so well. That trailer is embedded below.

How to get to the best killing spots in Black Ops multiplayer

Best hiding spots in Black Ops

The best bit of Black Ops is its online play, and the worst bit of that is getting shot in the back of the head by someone hiding in a spot you didn’t know you could get to. Now that Treyarch have improved the freezes and lag for many of us (it’s fine on my machine now), it’d be nice to be the guy doing the back-of-the-head shooting rather than the back-of-the-head getting-shot-in.

Enter redditor Haggle, who’s been putting together a great series of clips that show you where to climb, run and jump to get to some of Black Ops’ most inaccessible and surprising places. Some of these jumps also show you alternate routes to sniper holes, so you can surprise the camping twat on a ten kill rampage by bursting in through the window and throwing a tomahawk into his spine. Here are the most useful jumps on six maps.

Annual Desert Bus charity drive is underway

Desert Bus

Desert Bus is a rubbish game about driving a bus from Arizona to Las Vegas. You have to drive in real time, and your speed is limited to 45 miles per hour. It takes eight hours to complete the trip. The game can’t be paused and you can’t just tape down a key because the bus cruelly veers slightly to the right the whole time. As part of the annual Desert Bus for Hope event, a team of gamers have challenged themselves to play the game in 24 hour shifts for charity.

Crap Shoot: Leather Goddesses of Phobos

Leather Goddesses of Phobos

Richard Cobbett spends a quiet evening investigating an army of psychopathic ladies who want more than just your planet. People of Earth: Phobos needs talcum powder!

Let’s be honest, the main reason that anyone remembers Leather Goddesses of Phobos is because it’s called Leather Goddesses of Phobos. Here’s a list of game names from 1986. Alex Higgins’ World Snooker. Chessmaster 2000. Karateka. Space Quest: The Sarien Encounter. Leather Goddesses of Phobos. Tank Wars. Be honest. Which of those would have jumped out at you on a games shelf back then? It definitely wouldn’t have hurt that it was written by Infocom, then-Princes of the text adventure genre, or was written by the main guy behind both the Hitch-Hiker’s Guide To The Galaxy game (which was awful, incidentally, no matter how rose-tinted your glasses) and A Mind Forever Voyaging (which was utterly brilliant, and we’ll be looking at in this column at some point). This was pre-Leisure Suit Larry too, when the mere idea of a game including (*whisper*) sex seemed daring and new. For many people, the Leather Goddesses of Phobos would be their first time… at least with a computer.

PLEASE NOTE: You must be 18 or over to read this week’s Crap Shoot. Don’t you dare read on if you’re not! Your young mind is not ready for the thrilling sexy adventures that await you!

Minecraft Diary - Snow Pig

When I first started playing Minecraft a few months back, I played with a rule: if I die, I have to delete the entire world. This is the diary I kept of that experiment.

I ignored the game entirely when it was a purely creative toy – yeah, yeah, people made amazing stuff. I’m amazed. I’ve been amazed so often now that I’m in a permanent state of maze, and it would take someone building a working time machine in Zuma Deluxe to un- and subsequently re-maze me. But when it added a health bar, suddenly I was interested. I can die? I love to die! I’m there.

Team Fortress 2 isn’t entirely about hats. Somewhere within is a game you can be good at. Some people are better than others. TCM Gaming have been sitting at the top of nearly every professional TF2 gaming league for the past few years, and as such they’ve managed to accumulate a vast sum of knowledge on how to not get yourself stabbed in the back, headshotted, blown up with a cluster of stickybombs, or killed by a sentry gun over, and over, and over again. They explain exactly what to do, and what not to do, below.
