Starcraft2 - just what is it with adverts for games like Starcraft that merit a big production CGI number that bears zero relevance to the look and feel of the game that you ultimately play? Who are they fooling? I appreciate that cut scenes in many FPS & TPS's are painfully bad when rendered in the native game engine but at least they aren't totally misrepresenting the game.

@ tkaStryc9 I'm with you on that one.
@thunderclap - thanks.

Bummer about the podcast link - odd that the UK one seems to be still spewing them out on their old feed but are appearing with the US ones on this new feed.

Really, guys?! Flaming the PCG staff after that nice explanation of the problem? *sigh*

Anyway, thanks, thunderclap...that solution actually worked a little better for me than finding it through the iTunes store, since I didn't have to wait for the store/search page to come up over my relatively slow internet connection.

And...thanks for the great podcast, PCG staff. I appreciate the time you take to bring it to us every week!

Man it's a real shame what idiots there are on these boards. Ya'll do a great job with this site, mag and podcast. Believe me i know the headache of working with itunes and pod-casting. But in response to the updat Eric gave, well.... in fairness the majority of PCG readers are PC users and well capable of finding the feed again. If you know what i mean. Life will find a way.... life will find a way.

Hey here's the link THUNDERCLAP posted in handy 1 click format.

So basically, if you have iTunes, clicking this will subscribe you to the NEW feed. Not to be presumptuous, but perhaps THIS should go on the post itself.

(hope that tagged correctly)

So does this mean that now that there's an official Future WoW podcast there will be less talking about WoW on the PCG Podcast? Not particularly complaining the podcast in generals is great but you guys tend to go on about WoW quite a bit when there are other games that deserve discussion like Sword of the Stars 2.

I used to love this podcast untill they decide to not fix the iTunes feed, I know PCGamer wont care but as a listener and reader I will not hear another podcast untill the iTunes feed is fixed. Why? cus I think is a shame to run this new website and dont even botehr to take one day on more than 2 weeks (mby 3) to fix it.

SHAME ON YOU.

Re: super heroes in video games

- I always thought that it would be fun to play as Superman rather than Jack in Bioshock. Weird perhaps, but Superman has been known to visit some strange places. He could blast attackers with heat vision, or freeze them with his breath. Obviously changes would have to be made, but Superman exploring an alien world, along the lines of Rapture could be interesting.

- I liked City of Heroes for the couple months I played. I thought flying around was fun. I thought blasting things was fun. I thought being a tank, absorbing a lot of damage and then clobbering someone was fun. I just would rather the game be a single player game. $60.00 bucks for a game is fine, but ongoing fees to play it occasionally after I'm bored with it sours the experience.

@thunderclap - great work around. The podcast loaded right where it should! 2 thumbs up! Super awesome that you can bypass the iTunes store if needed.

@meowkat - Thanks for the setting information. Really useful to have for the future. (esp. ‘Remember playback position’.)

@Erik - Thanks for the update. Gives us a hint of what's going on. I'm glad you have a new RSS feed going. I guess there's not an obvious link to the new RSS, although thunderclap knew it - so that's great. I agree that iTunes should be easier for a podcaster to update; that said tracking down a new podcast to subscribe to would be favorable to only having a non-updating podcast feed. Honestly, I've looked up PC Gamer in the ITunes store every few days. Nothing. We'll find you, just give us something to find.

Erik, I know the OXM guys had to change their feed a ways back. Ask Ryan what they had to do.

Thanks again for the quality podcast.

Thunderclap - you are the man! Thanks very much. And maybe someone at PCGamer could post this simple fix on the site?

For those with iTunes problem here is what I suggest. Unsubscribe from the iTunes version. Then copy the podcast's RSS feed (http://dynamic.feedsportal.com/pf/510578/http://www.pcgamer.com/feed/rss2/?cat=29038), open iTunes -and go to "Advanced - Subscribe to Podcast" and paste the RSS URL. This will fix your problem and the feed will come up weekly in iTunes.

How can I fix the podcast feed in Winamp? Do I have to wait for the iTunes feed to be fixed or is there another one I can subscribe to?

UK podcast seems to be fine.

For the sake of transparency, and perhaps to ward of some complaints, here's the whole iTunes situation. We launched a new website. It's super cool. However, now that the podcasts are hosted here, we have a new RSS feed. And while some providers (Zune users are fine!) have no real issues changing feeds, iTunes doesn't do this. So we would essentially have to start a new feed and register a new podcast on iTunes, which would mean a good number of our listeners would have to track us down again. We are looking into solutions, and if anyone out there works for Apple, feel free to contact us with solutions!

Thanks for your patience with the matter guys.

Armoes, while we wait for PGC to fix the itunes problem, you can remedy the song/podcast problem manually.

Import the MP3 to itunes as usual, right-click the file and select , .
From there you'll be able to change the Media Kind to 'podcast', and check 'Remember playback position'.

It's a bit of a pain, but it works.

Hey guys, love the podcast - it is the reason I subscribe to the magazine.

I was wondering when you will fix the RSS feed for iTunes. I understand it can take some time, but it hasn't worked in 3 weeks now.

Yes, I can download the podcast, but then my iPod thinks it's a song, and well it just is a lot easier if the feed could be fixed. If there's anything we need to do, like resubscribe, let us know.

Thanks! You guys rock.
