What?! No love for my Bowmaster games? ;)

Great for alt-tab-ninjas. And if you have to do an emergency browser close you can still pick up where you left off with all your purchased upgrades.

[/endshamelessplug]

Love that PCG spotlights such games. Gives me something to work towards :) And kudos to the pixeljam guys (dino run). I met them at GDC 2007 at the IGF. Cool guys.

Question is, do the PCGamer staff have games to switch to, so that their boss doesn't know they're really looking at spreadsheets?

Thanks for wasting my time (in the good way) ;)

Is it too late to add a runner up? ?

Duncan is right, Neptune's Pride would be great here.

Also, glad to see Fantastic Contraption here. Its especially good when you play levels other people made, giving you a constantly updating list of levels to play.

Great article; love playing Canabalt whenever I have the free time. The iPhone/iPod Touch App Store has ton's of excellent pick up and play games. I've recently purchased Angry Birds and it's hilariously fun to play whenever you have brief spans of time.

There is an astonishing lack of Toribash and Frozen Synapse, both of which are excellent to play and can be minimized at a second's notice.
