Oh, and I loved the first Kane and Lynch... very underrated, it felt like an interactive Michael Mann movie. The sequel is looking quite good, glad to hear Dan agrees!

Glad to get rid of Games for Windows Live, but Steamworks presents its own problems. I know a ton of people love Valve's service, but for people like me that still buy in boxes it's rather annoying to have Steam thrust upon us for singleplayer. I love it for multiplayer though.

I think the thing to do is have an offline install option on Steam like Games for Windows Live does. Then everyone is happy... I can play my singleplayer games offline with no annoying client or activation and when playing mutliplayer I can activate through Steam and use Steamworks. Yay!

@ Stry8993

You could try posting it in the steam forums, if it's good and gets positive feedback there somebody with some kind of authority will see it, and if they like it you never know.

Great news about steamworks for the game, GFWL just needs to go away now, it's failed and Microsoft should deal with that and move on, I mean it's their fault for not giving a crap about the pc market and not giving it the support and attention they could have and certainly should have if they actually wanted it to be a success. It's been around long enough now that it shoulden't be janky and broken in the oh so many ways that it still very much is.

I far prefer Steamworks but I still find it too restrictive. I wish there were more choices for developers. It's either Gamespy Arcade(lul), GFWl or Steamworks. I can't for Impulse::Reactor to be feature-complete!

Yay! More and more devs are ditching this awful and sorry excuse of a service known as GFW LIVE and going with Steam. Good.
